If we are taking La Europa, we are talking level systems in a kind of downscaled WWASP edition.

She needs a break in a total other environment before she can adapt to all the temptations in college.

I support the strategy that she needs college, but can she adapt to college without transition?

I doubt it and that's why I suggested that she gets a stressfree period where there is no programs.

She also needs a motivation to take her GED. People up in Frederikssund are down to earth. Send her there or to one one of the other folk high schools some weeks.

I have looked at your previous posts and she has been through quiet a bit. As I could have predicted if I had been on this board, she is now suffering from various degrees of PTSD, which is normal considering that she has been sometime at a TBS.

If she is interested in art, she can only excel if she gets more inputs from various cultures. I would recommend that she should travel to Denmark and attend one of our Folk High school. They are drug/alcohol free environments on campus but the students attend life outside in weekends.

Having been placed in a stressful lockdown and a wilderness what she needs is a positive environment where she can get some postive feedback on her art. She need successes in her own pace rather than being forced to be productive.

May I suggest Thorstedlund. Remember she would be several thousand miles from negative peers. The only setback is that Denmark and the States don't transfer credits. Here is a study guide to Denmark in English.

I simply dont understand this testimonial page:

Quote
"With ABC CPA Inc. as our accountants, we simply do not have to take care of business or accounting aspects of our practice. They do it all!" -- Dr. John Doe

"Wonderful location, immaculately prepared food, a warm and gracious welcome - perfect!"

Mary Johnson, Anytown

"Andy at S&A Auto Services took care of our car when I needed a quick service and he found that we needed another service. He called me first before starting work and didn't over charge me!"

S.Jones, New York

Is it just me or did they "loan" the source-code for the webpage from a firm outside the industry and are still struggling to understand what they have got in their hand?

I come from another culture but if I had a 16 year old boy who didn't date at 16, I would have called the social services. I have a son who is 6 but is on his third girl-friend. They don't even consider the sexual aspect of a relationship, but they kiss each other when they arrive in school and it is general accepted to show feellings by our school administration.

I have to say that I worry for your son. People at that age should start to learn how to handle a relationship. Of course the sex thing will scare any parent as it certainly will scare me when the time comes, but information, information and yet more information is haft the work to prevent accidents. The other part is to meet your son with dialogue rather than judgment.

Keep your enemies close rather than on distance. Offer your son some time in the kitchen so he can prepare a "score meal". It will benefit you in the long run, because he will open up to you and knowledge is power in a parent-child relationship.

We were only able to locate two of the facilities on

-1445 North CEDAR BOULEVARD CEDAR CITY, UTAH 84720 and
- 465 W 1600 N, CEDAR CITY, UT 84720

However the few photos on the myspace group and on their webpage makes it difficult to pinpoint the exact houses.

Another odd thing is that some of their enrollment papers are placed on the webpage of Academy of Eastern Arizona.. They share some of the staff-members too.

Our datasheet is rather short and it could be nice to expand it.

Please also look at the structure of the homepage of Re-creation retreat in Arizona. It is basically the same.

In addition, Aspen has announced that LoneStar Expeditions will cease operations effective April 6, 2009. The closure will take place after all current students have graduated from the program and completed their originally planned track so that no students will be displaced.

According to our sources there are several reasons that Gulf Coast Academy is temp. shut down.

1) The standards of the buildings are poor. So poor that parents who actually visit the kids to see them at a distance after they have placed them there are scared.

2) Security are bad. Too many escaped the poorly maintained buildings.

3) They are able to contain the detainees at Carolina Springs and Pillars of Hope with the present level of "enrollment".

Majecstic are open, but it is also the only facility for that age-group.

There has been rumors of a shutdown of Midwest also. They have fired staff some months ago to "adjust".

The only facilities we know off which are filled are Horizon out in the desert on the border between California and Nevada and Red River Academy. None have been able to tell us anything about Oceanside.

We located this case about a boy apparently being forced into a certain Christian Group: Free Nathan

The group is called Hearlight Ministries and their homepage is here.

Heartlight has been on Wikipedia writing an article on their own.

We have improved the article with the location of their behavior modification facility but have been unable to digg up very much.

We have a datasheet on the European wiki server

Can anybody help?

How is the business up in La Verkin?

I know that the economy is tight and it is difficult for parents to finance private detention for their kids.

Have you been by the Lichfield's lately? A rumor spread last week that they had a problem with the engine of the car they purshased by one of their former employees who gave up the BM business when he was sentenced in Colorado. How are they doing?

And how is Mr. Kay doing? He must back in the States right now dealing with the little thing he has in his stomach. Somehow his fate makes me thing about the album made by André Franquin called Idees Nories, where a Japanese man cut up his stomach and start laughing at the tumor which whould have otherwise killed him at some point. Fate hits you hard sometime.

Tell us. We will listen to you.

Therapeutic Boarding School - the term is invented in the United States. I am not sure but I figure that NATSAP invented it for their organization. Opposite RTC's they should focus on education, but lack of federal standards means that you can teach kindergarten stuff to high school students and still call it a TBS.

*Specialty boarding school. We have one in Nyborg in Denmark for kids suffering from hearing problems. It doesn't work very well because the staff don't want to learn sign language as some type of disabilities are regarded as shameful. They don't offer therapy but special education targeted against specific problems.

Residential treatment center. Can be like a TBS but the focus is on treatment rather than  education. Some RTC's dont offer education at all.

Behavior modification facility. Can be anything between a boot camp and a Christian boarding school or a Koran School as long as there is roof over the head of the detainees.

As long as ther is no guidelines regarding the amount of education contra treatment, you cannot tell the difference between the various type of facilities. The facilities can call themselves what they like.

Was there at least one link or article to the death? Our researcher has been looking since this thread was made, but she has been unsuccessful.
