When is Virgil's deposition scheduled?  Are there any plans for a protest?  I'll make time to be there for that.

You have seen his artwork, but may not know it.  He is quite possibly the most widely seen artist in the world.  I think the guy's nuts, but he speaks for a large group of people who are becoming more influential and politically active each day.  Although the subject of ridicule worldwide, the number of people loyal to his philosophy remains large.

"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named 'Bush', 'Dick', and 'Colon.'Need I say more?"

The problem with Staff apologists is that they try to accept the ex-Staffer's claims that "they were brainwashed too". This is unacceptable. Sure, it is the Executive (I wish they were the 'Executed') Staff that deserves the blame for keeping the place open and running, but it was the JUNIOR AND SENIOR STAFF THAT DID THE BULK OF THE HANDS ON ABUSES AND PSYCHOLOGICAL TORTURE. THE JUNIOR AND SENIOR STAFF WERE JUST AS RESPONSIBLE AS THE EXECUTIVE STAFF FOR MAKING STRAIGHT INC. A LIVING HELL. The Executives may have started the car, but the daily drivers were Junior and Senior Staff. To let them off the hook by allowing them to claim they were victims is a load of shit. As I have stated elsewhere, unless they are putting at least as much effort into fighting the program now as they did in supporting it then, the world would be a much better place without them, and I for one encourage them to kill themselves with all deliberate speed.

Hey all you ex Straight Staffers-- why don't you follow in the footsteps of one of you who finally did something right--KILL YOURSELVES!

You are scum...human refuse...you are vile shit that does not deserve to live...you were paid to abuse and torture the innocent...DO THE HONORABLE THING AND KILL YOURSELVES NOW...if you are not fighting the program now like you supported it then, you should do what your conscience tells you to do, what you know is right--AND KILL YOURSELF!  Most of you know that you can never make up for the harm you inflicted, so why not try to atone for it BY KILLING YOURSELF?  Trust me, none of us will cry when you are gone.  In fact, most of us will honor your decision as the first decent thing you have done since you sold out to Straight.  It's not too late to make up for what you did--ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS KILL YOURSELF!  We promise to forgive you for your actions at Straight if you KILL YOURSELF NOW!

Check this out--it's a petition to change the city charter of Gainesville, FL so that marijuana possession of less than 20 grams will be made the lowest priority crime for the cops to go after.  It worked in Seattle, and Berkeley, CA has had a similiar thing there for years.  Damn, maybe this town will become cool again!

I think all former Straight Staff  should either start fighting the good fight, as shown by the honorable Mr. Bradbury, or take a page from the samurai handbook and commit ritual suicide.  To me, those are the only ways they can make up for the heinous actions they performed willingly, for pay.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Dave Lively
« on: March 13, 2004, 05:55:00 PM »
Does anyone here remember Dave Lively from the St. Pete stalag?  He was in from 82-84.  He was funny as hell, and helped me maintain some semblance of sanity, particularly during my last couple of months there.  We would support each others misbehaving efforts, and it made it easier than trying to do it alone.  Little stuff like high fives and peace signs, air guitar, and mentioning rock bands and drugs went a long way in the fight to resist.  Thanks for the help, Dave.

I remember when a misbehaver I was friends with was getting confronted for cliquing and looking at the girl's side. I had just gotten started over from a copout.  I started motivating really hard to confront my friend, and I got called on.  I just said, "Look, D----, I want to give you some positive credit, I think you're a good example to all the other wannabe misbehavers..."  that was about as far as I got before the "OOH! OOH!" sounds of the motivating group drowned my voice out.  The staff told me to have a seat after some phaser confronted me.  That was the only time I gave positive credit in the group to someone who really deserved it.

What was the deal with Straight freaking out over parting one's hair in the middle? I remember going to get my hair cut for the first time after leaving Straight and getting ready to be confronted when the stylist asked me if I wanted it parted in the middle.  I felt like she was offering me drugs or something.

Another thing I thought was weird was how we weren't supposed to mention rock bands by name.  I got ripped one time when Steve Meade walked by me (I was on the last seat toward the center of the big room about three rows back)while the group was doing a Straight song and I was singing along, changing the line from "Sing halleluia to the Lord" to "Sing halleluia to Pink Floyd" and "to the Doors".

The only time we got to mention the names of bands was in one rap we had where Kevin Lowe and Co. told us about the Satanic origin of many a rock and roll musician, up to and including Elvis.  I think he talked about "Backward Masking" and a lot of other shit he saw on a low budget Christian TV infomercial.  I remember getting such a charge out of hearing  about the different music different people were into, just hearing the names of the bands gave me material to "rock out in my head" for weeks afterward

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / Mr. Toy, Miller's token black man
« on: March 03, 2004, 06:36:00 PM »
Anybody remember a small black guy named Mr. Toy who was an exec in St. Petersburg?  I think he got replaced by the flaming John Repatowski.  I remember one time in Guys Rap Steve Hagan used the N-word sreaming at some kid " Do you wanna end up sucking N- dicks in jail?!"  Later on he had to make amends to the group and Mr. Toy. It was rather amusing seeing Staff get uncomfortable like that.

Aside from hanging out together in law offices, making sure their stories match, does anybody know of contact on either a professional oe social level between Cassioan and Ambassador Mel?

Is Miller just trying to law low with the church thing so he can slither away and start up another Mel-funded Reeducation Facility?
Is Mel betting on Miller taking the fall if the shit hits the fan in court?  If it does, would Miller squeal like the nazi pig he is and out Mel as having known about the abuses all along?  It would be kind of funny to see a tearful, remorsefully repentent Miller pushing out the Crocodile Visine "But Your Honor, Mel Brainwashed me!  It was terrible!".  Of course no one would  buy it for a second, but it would still be funny to see.
