Many returnees have been diagnosed by doctors as suffering PTSD. My impression is that R. Sherman was suggesting the probability of PTSD based on that verifiable fact and because of a sincere concern.

So like I said, Sherman was making an assumption diagnosis.

So Carey,
You are accusing Rhonda of making a diagnosis. What diagnosis did you have in mind when you said that Melissa "needed help", multiple times?

And don't give the "cat covering its shit" answer that you weren't suggesting, implying, alluding to her having a mental problem of some sort. That is pretty much the way the rest of the world interprets those words- needs help.

Rhonda ventured a guess about what Melissa might be dealing with- PTSD. You didn't venture a guess- but you did venture to suggest that she has problems and needs help.

How is that different?

Damn, Carey, I though this was from someone else describing you.  Then, lo and behold, it's the real you...looking in the mirror?

SK, another unfortunate victim of Carey's obsession with publishing her private email.

Deborah, saying someone needs help is not quite the same as diagnosing someone with a mental illness.  When I see a homeless lady pushing her basket down the street, I may say I think the woman needs help.  I certainly don't assume she is suffering from schizophrenia and make the statement that she is just because I have heard that other homeless people suffer from schizophrenia.

I do not know what the problem is, but it is obvious to me she needs help.  Who knows maybe just a vocabulary class would help Melissa to be taken seriously.  The anon who said she sounds like a little brat is pretty accurate.  Except, let me add, a foul mouth little brat who can't think of something worth saying so she just spews.

She is another one who makes things up and spews it out.  Look at what she said about what happened in my situation...she was dead wrong.  Who would believe a word she says?  You?

If Melissa if representative (not the representative but if she represents the type of individual) going to court against WWASP, there is going to be trouble.  You know it and I know it.

My support for this cause is better than my faith in my religion. I think about it every day, I try to do something to help every day, it's like those die hard mormons. I read this and I think BRAINLESS BOVINE who has no idea how to direct her anger, or child being coached by a 'not very bright' adult. Your conquest huh? Could you sound any more selfish, ignorant and arrogant? Carey is after the same goal as you! Carey also sounds more level headed and intelligent than a majority of the rest of you in my opinion. Always has.

Oh Melissa,
Nice accent btw.   ::ftard::

First of all Carey, you?re not supportive of this lawsuit, are you? Then why would you want to give the appearance of being concerned about what kind of witness Melissa will be? A vocabulary class?  I?m sure her attorney will advise her on courtroom etiquette.

Second, I have a son with PTSD too. It was 6 months that he self-mutilated.  It took 2 years before he took off the black clothes and chains (his safety blanket) because he no longer wanted to repel EVERYone.  It was 3 years before he trusted another adult, other than me. It took him 5 years to recover his self worth and dignity.  It was five years before there wasn?t a cuss word in every sentence he uttered. Five years before he could feel hope again. He?s still sorting out the remnants of confusion they instilled.

I don?t know how your sons? PTSD manifests, but my son exhibited outbursts of rage, raw rage, when he felt someone was attempting to control or manipulate him. It was logistically impossible for him to direct it at the appropriate person. He had been abused on a daily basis and had to stuff 6 months of anger (a rational response to abuse) so when it began to surface it was directed at every adult that  ?looked or acted? like the perpetrator.

Our therapist encouraged me not to put boundaries on his verbal expression. It was and would be, a clear indicator of how he was progressing. That proved to be accurate and very helpful to him. Don?t go overboard and construe that to mean it was a free for all. I had to learn when he was really venting the hurt and anger and when it was just habit, and point out when it was the later.

What I observed is that Melissa (sorry Melissa, I don?t mean to speak of you as if your weren?t here) vented some anger about the ?ongoing pure/wwasp? debate. You immediately asserted yourself as an authoritative adult, judging her to need help and criticizing her. Not once, but 7 or 8 times.

1) MelissaR you need help. I mean that with all sincerity. How old are you?
2) Surely Melissa won't be testifing in court. If she thinks she is helping anybody with what spews out of her mouth, she is dead wrong.
3) Well, anon after reading Melissa's last post, do you still think she is not in need of help?
4) It is obvious, Melissa does not know what she is talking about. Maybe some one should clue her in on what reality is.
5) If Melissa ever wants anyone to take her seriously she is going to have to learn, first to get her facts straight and second how to talk to people so that they will listen.
6) It is also obvious that she will make up and say just about anything in order to realize (and I use her words) her "conquest."
7) R. Sherman, like I said, Melissa needs help. She has attacked me verbally, stated things about my case that are totally false, called my boys "losers". She has lost touch with reality. She is making things up in her head and them spewing them out. Go back and read what she said I did. If this is her way of obtaining self worth and dignity, it sure seems strange.

Seems to me it?s been an opportunity to badger a teen involved with the lawsuit you don?t support. It would be interesting to see what happened if you backed off her. One good jab deserves another.

Well, thanks folks for the introduction. Maybe I need my own topic. First of all, like I said, I'm 17 years old, so sue me. I really don't know what else to say. Perhaps if you (Carey) were not so stubborn, then you might be easier to communicate with. I find it absolutely hillarious that you deemed me needing treatment. I can totally see why you dumped your boys off in a program (or you got divorced, and your husband did...that's simply the way your family operates.) You don't deal with the problem or challenge at hand, you look for a quick fix, or diagnosis. You are the type of parent who has their ancy 3 year old put on Ritalin. You are quick to speak your mind, but have nothing but criticism of others comments. As far as my education goes, I'm a high school senior and I completed AP Language last year scoring a 4 on the AP exam. If you don't know about AP or Advanced Placement courses, look it up. I'm going to the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University to major in Advertising and Marketing, and I will be minoring in Journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. Next time, before you criticise my education based on internet posts, think again please. I'm not offended because I don't have the maturity of a 4 year old. I've said it before, it's a shame you have kids. If I knew them, I'd get them so blazed simply out of feeling sorry for them. If you criticize me for using allusions to drugs, think about government propaganda. I totally support legalization of marijuana and it helps me think, be creative, and express my thoughts. I know for a fact there are people who agree with me, liberal, open minded individuals. I wouldn't be suprised if you are a sedate member of the lower middle class with the amount of education I read in your posts. People of the lower socio-economic classes often are conservative on social issues. That is why I read white trash from you, you don't even think. I am absolutely CERTAIN I have PTSD. I have all the symptoms and whatnot, but I deal with it in my own way, and someday I will recover from it fully. I'm strong person and I think I can handle myself, and I don't run to prescriptions to erase everything and make it "all better." I would prefer you not judge me before you even have the slightest bit of a concept of who I am. Don't write me off as a bratty teenager like you did to your sons. You know its completely wrong, and shallow.

There she goes again.  Talking about things she knows nothing about.  I guess since she is just a kid, she should be excused for her not seeing that facts are important. :wstupid: OOPS, did I say that.

Anon,

Thank you!!! I appreciate that! The biz school is pretty hard to get into! After WWASP and all it was quite an accomplishment!

As for you Carey.... you completely proved my point! You did not listen to ONE thing I said... You just jumped to comclusions and attacked me! You only read what you WANTED from my post, and what I said I firmly believe. Obviously, your family is JACKED UP. I know good and well your little story, and Ms. Carey C. Bock, that is my take on it. You're a liar.  Good job, you have got to be the most ignorant person on this forum. I wish there was a block so I didn't have to read your posts. Leave me alone.
