For ex-clients: What type of abuse goes on at Pathway?

This is the test. Over and over again, people have tried to pull together the basic Program methodology into a non-abusive implimentation. When the authorities and public are paying attention, they eliminate some of the harder-to-explain rituals and practices.

Sometimes motivating is banned. Adequate sleep and nutrition are sometimes provided. Often client on client restraints are temporarily banned. This causes little chinks in the invisible walls so that Group and Parents' Group wind up somewhat less under control. Recruiting drops off, it becomes harder and harder to get Group all whipped into a frenzey over some imagined transgression or betrayal. Eventually, either the whole thing collapses or they hang on long enough for the scrutiny to pass and go back to old ways.

The last struggles of a great superstition are very frequently the worst.
--Andrew Dickson White (1832-1918)

what was Mark's fathers name...it wouldn't be Brent, would it?

IF it is, Brent, your a  fucking idiot.  I know what and how you behaved after graduating the Seed, and if you put your kid in there, you are a hypocrite of the highest magnitude.

Wouldn't surprise me. I found out just a few years ago that when my brother helped bring me to straight, he was only taking a short break from a coke binge to do so. Or, at least, that's how he described it after 20 years more of indoctrination. In reality, it might just as well have been that he had done coke once or twice recently. Who the hell knows?

All I ask is equal freedom.  When it is denied, as it always is, I take it anyhow.

This whole discussion about The Semblers is ridiculous. I am not a fan of Mels business principles nor som of the organizations he has helped to create. Lets be realistic though some of mels family are stand up people. All of the things that involved mel, involved mel leave his family alone. cmon. I was very close with his grandson that people are talking about and im sure he doesnt appreciate being spoken about without taking part in these conversations. have some respect. as for katys husband i have no idea.

It's not easy having powerful assholes for family. I went to school with some of the Huizenga nieces and nephews. They really were very nice people. Everyone knew they were filthy rich only because their uncle built us a nice gym. Aside from that, they dressed about like everyone else, drove regular, sensible cars and were neither the nerds who got picked on or the idiots who picked on them.

But I don't think they engage in perennial campaign finance fraud like the Sembler clan does.

http://www.opensecrets.org/indivs/searc ... =Y&Order=D

The family were always way more invested in their local clamp and scaffold company and maintaining good relations with long-term local customers than with any of Huizenga's maniacal plans to rule the world through piss testing.

Necessity is the excuse for every infringement of human freedom.  It is the argument of the tyrant and the creed of the slave.

If you read a little more carefully my statement said that i was close to him. he was permanently hosted at my house for four months. So Before you go running your mouth take some time to pay attention to what youre arguing . I'll just assume youre not only an ignorant asshole but a no-named pussy as well--smith

Butternationalist, you absolutely suck. I'v read your postings, and the things you have said do little but piss me off. If you werent such a doosh bag you might be a worthwhile human being. Too bad you aren't. I thank God every day i'm not a fuck up like you. I know you'll probably get pissed off, and respond with swearing and maybe even threats. Then you'll point out the fact that I am under the name anonymous, and undoubtedly call me a pussy because of it. But Smith, i just don't give a damn. You still suck, no matter how much you want to put it back on other people. I hate to break it to you like this, but it is true.
Sincreley,

No abuse goes on.  It's all about how people take it.  Nobody could hold me down or tackle me while I was in there.  Staff would confront me, but only because I had an attitude and needed some straightening out.  That place is for people who need tough love, and that's what they give u.

One common side effect of effective behavior modification is a near total loss of one's sense of irony.

Hey Einstein! Here's a nice sample of the type of abuse that goes on at PFC.

I recognized the smell right away because it's made from my mom's old recipe that she learned at The Seed. I think maybe you've just become so accustomed to the stench of it that you don't even notice when you fall face first into a fresh, steaming pile of it.
