Would what you do for a living be considered market research?

Did we ever get an answer to questions about Who's professional background?

I am in business, nothing very exciting and not associated with the teen help industry.  I am presently spending 6 months helping a friend get his business back on track, so my hours are sporadic

You've got something to do with the troubled parent industry.  There is no way in hell someone would spend THIS MUCH TIME AND EFFORT defending these places and make the slipups that you do (using the term "we" when referring to HLA) without some vested interest in it.

Is it possible he's just overly-opinionated or something?

Of course, anything's possible but something just keeps nagging at me about this guy.  There's more to the story, IMHO.

Ok.

Why are you so concerned with all of these factoids, Who?

No he just an asshole who thinks he knows something about the field when it's obvious he hasn't got a clue. If he were connected to the industry he might actually try and back up some of his claims. As it stands he can't even make the effort, because he knows literally nothing about it.

So you saw King Crimson back then; I'll bet that was cool!

Who was in the band when you saw them?

What album were they touring on?

Quote
(Don?t expect you to know most of these groups it was way before your time I believe).
It's possible I've heard of some of them and may even be familiar with a few...

Was Spirit one of those bands?

Did you ever get into reading stuff by Lester Bangs?

Quote
Anyway, I am babbling (way too much information), sorry, but anyway thanks for the Who tip, Oh, ?Tommy?s Holiday camp? seemed different? I know they credited Moon with the song but it was all Townshend on Banjo and I think he was on key board also? Whats up with that do you know? Was this the original track?
Well if Townsend WAS on keyboard it wouldn't have been the only time, but I don't know. There's banjo in it? You must be referring to the studio version? Live at Leeds was all recorded live as far as I could tell...

John Wetton was on vocals back then I believe,  Greg Lake had moved on to Emerson, Lake and Palmer.  I saw Emerson Lake and Palmer I believe the year before and the band?Yes? was back up for them on their tour.  They (Yes) just shot to the top after that tour.  Anyway, I am off track here.  King Crimson played ?Easy money?, ?Schizoid man?  I don?t remember much about the concert itself except that I was honored to be there and didn?t think I would ever get a chance to see them again, which I didn?t, too bad.  I think David Cross was still on Keyboards, the Album was ?Murder Case??

I never got a chance to see Spirit, where did you see them,  I definitely remember them!!  The Family that plays together?.  I am not sure they came east when I was there.

I didn?t read much of Lester Bangs, I remember some of his reviews and stuff he said.  I was mostly reading Vonnegut back then.

That means nothing.  NO one in the industry can back up their claims.   Nope, I still think he's connected in some way.  Maybe not a direct employee, but there's something.

Yeah but I think they would at least try. I'm thinking that at the reprogramming seminar Cindy attended he was deemed ineffectual as an active recruiter, therefore he doesn't have answers to any questions, even bullshit answers. He simply makes up claims and statistics and then acts suprised or tries to dodge the issue when told to back up his claim or proven to be incorrect.

I think the point was made on both sides. Cindy isn't going to tell us even he is working for the industry, in the long run it isn't that important anyway because either way he still hasn't got a clue as to what he's talking about. There isn't much need to continue the topic.

I wouldn't mind getting an answer either, but deep down could really give a fiddler's fuck... :D

No, scratch that, I'd like to know.

Cindy has gotten so used to not answering questions, by this point I doubt he knows how.
