So you saw King Crimson back then; I'll bet that was cool!
Who was in the band when you saw them?
What album were they touring on?
(Don?t expect you to know most of these groups it was way before your time I believe).
It's possible I've heard of some of them and may even be familiar with a few...
Was Spirit one of those bands?
Did you ever get into reading stuff by Lester Bangs?
Anyway, I am babbling (way too much information), sorry, but anyway thanks for the Who tip, Oh, ?Tommy?s Holiday camp? seemed different? I know they credited Moon with the song but it was all Townshend on Banjo and I think he was on key board also? Whats up with that do you know? Was this the original track?
Well if Townsend WAS on keyboard it wouldn't have been the only time, but I don't know. There's banjo in it? You must be referring to the studio version? Live at Leeds was all recorded live as far as I could tell...
John Wetton was on vocals back then I believe, Greg Lake had moved on to Emerson, Lake and Palmer. I saw Emerson Lake and Palmer I believe the year before and the band?Yes? was back up for them on their tour. They (Yes) just shot to the top after that tour. Anyway, I am off track here. King Crimson played ?Easy money?, ?Schizoid man? I don?t remember much about the concert itself except that I was honored to be there and didn?t think I would ever get a chance to see them again, which I didn?t, too bad. I think David Cross was still on Keyboards, the Album was ?Murder Case??
I never got a chance to see Spirit, where did you see them, I definitely remember them!! The Family that plays together?. I am not sure they came east when I was there.
I didn?t read much of Lester Bangs, I remember some of his reviews and stuff he said. I was mostly reading Vonnegut back then.
