I was in Running Springs in 1980.  Yes, like already stated, gays were shamed in raps.

Screw animals, fine.  Screw students (Dan Earle) is okay, too.  But, find love with a fellow human of the same sex, well then that's just ugly.

At 17, I knew how horribly and wrongly treated gays were.  My heart broke then.  At 43, I'd kick the ass of any abusive homophobe.   :flame:

Dan Earl - fraud.

An investigator from the Los Angeles school district came up to interview me.  Based on the truth I told her about what was happening at Running Springs Cedu, she determined that Cedu was not helping me, and I was not receiving a high school education.  In other words, the school district, which was funding the $2,500 a month tutition, was going to stop payments immediately.

Dan forced me to write a letter to this woman, stating that I had lied, and that Cedu was the proper place for me to be.

I ran away for good a month or so after that.

Hey Dan Earl, you old mother fucking, over the hill loser!  I bet you are driving around in an old beat up Ford Pinto, going thru trash dumpsters for your meals.  You are a loser.  You were then, and are certainly now!Let me guess; you are probably in your 70's, and will never make a decent life for yourself.  You never had it in you, did you Dan?

No, I don't blame my parents at all.  Those brochures were very well-done.  Smiling teen faces, photos of horses, and a beautiful log mansion were very luring.

My mother is 80, as well, and I have no interest in throwing this back at her.  It's been 28 years anyways, and her husband of 25 years died up there during a visit with me.  

However, I have sent her links to CEDU support groups, such as this one, and she understands.  She's also expressed how sorry she is.

I hold Allgood and his cronies to blame, and always will.  Happily the worse offends are starting to die off. :rofl:
