Parental Monthly Statements

I'm putting a call out to any of you who can get your hands on a monthly statement from RMA or CEDU or any of the similar schools. I really really want to see that ridiculousness...the mad money breakdown.

Anyone?

I don't think my dad ever saw one statement. He finegaled it so that the insurance would pay for my interment. I guess since I already had an official diagnosis of manic depression and a history of suicide, he could officially argue that I was there for "treatment", since I had a valid diagnosis. All this is speculation, however.

That must have been some fantastic insurance!

I know my parents tried desperately to get their insurance company to pay for RMA.  I think they were moderately successfull in getting them to fork over 20 or 30% for a year or so.  Based on the BS denial letters I have seen from insurance companies I can't imagine that it was too hard to exclude "emotional growth" boarding schools from the coverage umbrella.

Does the term "experimental" come to mind?

BTW - I will attempt to find a statement.  They have to exist somewhere in my folks archives.  Will post gratuitous, scanned version if succesfull.

I know my mom was required to send  an allowance monthly.  We have NO statements, and that's just wrong.

No accounting whatsoever! :flame:

I have seen an old invoice from my days back in the early 80s. Parents we billed for everything, including rides to the airport or doctors appointments. Toiletries were also itemized. It was weird. I will see if I can get my hands on one.
