How is it possible that you don't get that those claiming efficacy have the burden of proof?????   You guys claim to be able to fix these kids.  You claim that your programs 'work' yet you won't name any and can provide no proof that they do, in fact, 'work'.  Why is this so difficult for you to comprehend?  Do you have a learning disability??

The burden of proof is on the programs who claim to be able to fix kids, end of story. There is plenty of goddamn evidence to the contrary, so let the programs defend themselves if they can.

Hopefully someone will end up going ballistic before too long and start offing some of these lying shitbags, then let's see what happens and how many people still want to go into "the industry." I'm not afraid to say that I hope that this happens, as there is no crime in hoping. Anyway, this debate has become tiresome at best.

The is some evidence via books written and short term studies.  I have seen many schools collecting and publishing data on the effectiveness of their program.  But there are no long term studies that I am aware of that support the claims either way.
So until such time these studies are done we just need to rely on the studies we have and the feedback from the parents and students.
So if someone claims the programs are ineffective or abusive then that needs to be backed up via a study of some sort.  As far as studies and data go the evidence tilts overwhelmingly in favor of the programs being effective.
