Jim Bob, I see we have the same taste in stereo equipment, I have the alpine face unit and 6 cd changer, but my amps of choice I use are Memphis audio M-class 4 channel and a Memphis audio M class 2 channel for the sub. The sub is an enclosed box like yours powered by two 12 inch power bass or base, not sure how its spelled by them, speakers. I also have the lows and highs coming from the doors through Memphis speakers with directional tweeters.
Beleive it or not I saw a tibby today, not that bad looking of a car, I expected it too look more like a cheap hyundai. Hyundai has come along way in their redesigns, and they look much better then they did in the late 80's and 90's, only thing, the guy driving it had trouble passing me up the mountain, he just couldn't over power the Silverado HD in power.
Jim Bob, I was curious, I never heard a complete Alpine system like you have together, you seem to have everything alpine, which is good and top of the line if I do say so myself, hows everything sound together? I heard certain alpine amps werent all that good as there face units. I was going to buy one then I was turnined on by the clarity and crisp highs from the Memphis M class amps, which are the Mercede Benzs of amps. I have an older Alpine face unit which I paid about $400.00 and change 5-6 yrs ago, its ai-net compatable and has a remote, never had one single problem with it as of yet. This is the 3rd vehicle it has been installed in. Also got another Alpine face unit in my wifes suv, just bought it not long ago, it was a cheap alpine with no remote from crutchfeild, I think its only 16wx4, sounds real good though, no remote though, paid $119.00 new for it.
I also got a kenwood parametric eq hooked up to my system, sounds really awesome. Just came back from the dealer where I bought my 2 new trucks and the salesman was so impressed with the sound he called more of his salesmen friends to come and listen to it.
I really am a huge fan of Alpine, I think they are some of the best cd units built. Clarion use to be side by side with them, but alpine is in a league of their own.
How those 12's sound? Do they have a remote bass control? I'll join that place where you hosted your pics and post mine, I gotta take pics of my system yet, my door speakers are hidden behind the factory grills and I dont feel like taking off the skins again.
