Thickfreakness the black keys. These guys are so sweaty and gritty

I heard them on the radio once a long time ago & recall liking them. I think I'll have to see about revisiting them; since I don't have their address or anything, I guess I'll try SoulSeek.

Some live video of Sonic Youth,  a show from England on the tour for Daydream Nation, some stuff from 2004, some stuff from 83,  a really good show from the desert in California with the Meat Puppets, Redd Kross, and psicom, from 85 I think.  Good shit.

Coincidently, my sister was playing some live Sonic Youth stuff on YouTube yesterday.

Queen - News of The World  (v)

1991 The Year Punk Broke (google video)

Quote from: ""Thurston Moore""
'91 is the year that punk finally breaks..through . . . Motley Crue singing "Anarchy In The UK" in the European Arena in front of 100,000 screaming people..it's one of the most sickeningly candy-assed versions you'll ever hear of it, but it is the song itself..

Some live clips of the Bad Brains doing the real early stuff you know, like from 1981. They are easily one of the best punk bands ever; definitely the best on the east coast back then (and ever since, really). Sure they lamed-out a bit later on, but what they did early on more than makes up for it.

Some really driving, cool shit by some band I have yet to identify that happened to be on the back of a Luminaries (I played keybrds) practice tape... Anyway one of the songs has this part that chants what sounds like "It defeats the purpose"?; maybe someone has a clue who this is..

A practice tape recorded by Thee Malcontents (played bass for 'em; high-energy, garage)

Maypole - (90's Baltimore rockin' angry girl band)

A hilariously raucous Reptile House II practice tape (not that being raucous was that out of the ordinary for us).

I'd like to see some of the early Bad Brains clips, I bet that's some cool stuff.

Gotta question...

What's the name of the band who sings about 'one last dance before I go', one last kiss, etc?  I keep hearing it on the radio and they never say who it is.  Quite exasperating, to say the least!  But it's a good song.

AC/DC live show Towson State College, Towson, MD, 10-16-79

One of Bon Scott's last shows, one of the only live recordings of a lot of the Highway To Hell material. ::rocker::

RIP, Bon  :skull:

Yeah, if Bon had gone out any other way, it would have been disappointing.  More evidence that rock and roll will kill you if you do it right..........

Anyway, today's listening session has included some Johnny Cash, some Redd Kross, some TSOL, and the following, in their entirety, on vinyl, no less:

Misfits--Static Age

Red Snapper--It's All Good

Reagan Youth--Vol. 1

Dead Kennedys--Mutiny On The Bay

The Who--Live At Leeds
