Interesting Tidbit.......True Story

Jean Cassidy,then former Straight exec staff working as a receptionist in a financial planning office while her husband Scotty was working as Straight exec staff,admitted that I,along with most of the "clients"(internees)at Straight,were not really addicts.This admission came as I explained that occasionally I drank but was clearly not addicted nor in denial.I left that conversation realizing my 16 months in Straight was a total lie.

I hate cliches but sometimes they have merit.The adage goes "What doesn't kill you will only strengthen you"has lots of truth behind it.This episode,like Str8,were two kicks in the privates.Whatever happens,you remind yourself that this won't be the end.I have a friend down here whose wife left him with their young daughter to Mainland China,leaving pending a loan for $250000 by her father on the Mainland as well.This was pretty much all the money he had.He was the one who told me that when I was trying to console him.You saw Straight through,you will this as well.

No matter how you spell his last name,let's be thankful for him and give his pizza place a try next to the Mons.It's located in the old Taco Bell.They serve handspun New York Style Pizza and Barbecue Pulled Pork(No Pun Intended).

His name is Dan Loerzel.Pulled out of Straight(Milton Roy) and sent to Teen Challenge.He went to Largo High.Teen Challenge was another "tough love"(abuse factory)started by late spiritual author Hal Lindsey.All I know.

Fall of 1978,four internees from Tampa.Mike Saylor,fifth-phaser attending Tampa Catholic and Bob Patterson's one-time oldcomer,Logan Mitchell,an adult fourth-phaser attending USF,John Campbell,a court-ordered fourth phaser with bright red hair who attended Plant,and Chris Lane,an effiminate third phaser who attended Jesuit,the all-boys Catholic School in Tampa.They decided during the summer of 1978 while commuting together that they like liked their lives before Straight and went back to partying while they were still in the program.They were exposed on the weekend,so I was upstate with my family so their outing is a mystery to me,but I think it was Mike Saylor who rolled over in staff office outing his colleagues.No such thing as a fifth phase refresher,so Mike Saylor was terminated as was John Campbell,who was promptly turned over to the Tampa Courts.Logan Mitchell pulled himself a week later.I don't know how Chris Lane ended up

Being brainwashed and tormented

Having spent two Decembers,1977 on Second Phase,and,1978 on Fourth Phase,as a member of the lost warehoused tribe of adolescents then known as Straight Incorporated,like many of us,CHRISTMAS CAROLS MEAN NOTHING MORE TO ME THAN A BUNCH OF FLASHBACKS!!!!
This December,I decided to take a positive,therapeutic step to resolve this twisted episode of PTSD and the Fornits board is going to help.I hope I don't bore the shit out of anyone so they consider suicide or anything like that.Please consider that I will use this thread to help cope with some not so pleasant memories.
I have decided that every time I hear a Christmas song that reminds me of the warehouse,I will rewrite that song and post it on this thread.This isn't for humor.This is to get stuff out.Right now,Winter Wonderland and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen have sent me off into a time warp far enough to give Rocky Horror's Riff Raff an erection so those will be the first two on the hit parade.

Thanks to the competence and watchful eye of Helen Petermann,even then self confessed sexual deviant John Buick is allowed to sign himself in as an adult.Now,John is serving out a sentence for sexual battery on a child under the age of 12.He never spoke much about drugs funny enough.HE DID ADMIT HAVING A WEAKNESS FOR GUYS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE IN GROUP TO BE ABLE TO RELATE TO HIM IN AN OPEN FORUM.Thanks Helen,Thanks Jim Hartz.Thanks for looking out for our well being.Just the type of guy I want looking at me while I'm defecating in a stall without doors.
