Playing program intimidation games again DJ.  HLA taught you well.

Deborah,

I don't go to Struggling Teens- that's not why I'm here.

I'm not posting to get a response from you. What a coincidence, your thoughts mean absolutely nothing to me as well.  It's hard for anyone to take you seriously when you make broad, sweeping assumptions.

Your argument is a lot like this:

DJ: Cancer kills.

Parent:  I had skin cancer once, it was removed and now I'm well.

DJ:  All the studies say that cancer kills, you are wrong.

Parent:  But the Dr. says I'm fine, I just have to watch my sun exposure.

DJ:  Your Dr. is a quack.  If he were a real Dr. he would tell you that cancer kills you ignoramous.

DJ,

They are blasting her and every parent who unsuspectingly comes here and tries to speak to the goodness of ASR or any program for that matter.  YOU might not be blasting her but your cronies are.  Before TSW got his head up his butt he used to discredit the foolishness of Luke/Paul, etc. I don't see you doing that.

I really do think you want ASR to be a bad place to prove your point.  I doubt you truly care about the kids that are there now as long as you are "right."

Now, I am speaking to you, DJ.  It doesn't surprise me at all that you worked in a program.  Your attempts to intimidate people who disagree with you smacks of program tools.[ This Message was edited by: wild fig on 2006-06-27 09:11 ]

Why do you feel that is necessary?  If I were mouthing off against a program you wouldn't care.  Last time I looked, this thread was unmoderated. I posted anon. for a while and then got a login.  Now, because I'm pro-wilderness (only pro- Second Nature), you want to challenge me.  Why won't you link the threads of the moron who posts pornography?  Oh, I forgot, he agrees with you.

Bottom line:  If Ginger, the moderator and owner of this site, feels it is necessary for some reason to link my posts then she can PM me and we will talk about it.

Until then, ignore me- because, I wasn't talking to you.[ This Message was edited by: wild fig on 2006-06-27 09:05 ]

Wait,

Is there a Fornits rule that I have to log in?  I don't think so.

8
I've been out of the country for three weeks.  Why are you so worried about me?  I like Second Nature.  I always respond to Second Nature questions...always will.

9
Second Nature is a great program.  Both campuses have a good reputation (Utah, GA).

Here we go again!  I used to get abused for not having a login-  now I do, and I'm still being accused of posting anon.  I do not post anon because I don't want to be mistaken for some of the crackpots around here.

You DO NOT SPEAK for us women-folk.

So, speak for yourself, OK?"

I wrote that, not Who.  And, I wasn't speaking for you only myself.

DJ,

You often attack the person.  I guess I could spend the afternoon digging up your posts but I disinclined to pour through all of your rantings and ravings.  Two examples that do come to mind: your obvious distaste for women in general and your chauvinistic response to one poster- you called that person an hysterical housewife and then accused that person of being a drunk- and, your tasteless racial slurs.  Those are just two examples I remember seeing that were truly personal.

Sorry DJ, you are attacking him.  You always do.[ This Message was edited by: wild fig on 2006-06-21 07:38 ]

The Troubled Teen Industry / Wilderness program effectiveness
« on: June 08, 2006, 06:28:00 PM »
My son really enjoyed the challenge.  He worked his way up to the "Air Phase"- the highest level of the program and felt an enormous sense of accomplishment and achievement- two things that had been missing in his life prior to Second Nature.  Some of his friends were miserable and it was ineffective.  It's not right for every kid.
