I have to say i'm starting to feel lucky...i guess my experience wasn't as bad as i thought...of course a normal person wouldn't block out 14 months of their life.

I'm doing ok...i just had 14 years sober...i'm not working right now, but i'm healthy, i have a place to live, i have a great family & friends...i even still have quite a few friends from straight - my oldest friends - my sister & i were put in straight at 15 - that seems so young to me now...we moved around so much, but after straight, we kind of stayed in one area.

This site is kind of weird to me, good & bad, i've been reading everything for hours today, i'm a little overwhelmed...i feel really sad for the ppl on here, i guess it's a good thing that i can't remember much from that part of my life...i don't know what to say.

I read the msg.s about steve brooks, a lot of hate, i was friends with steve for a long time, the only thing i can do for him now is pray, he's sick, he can't stay out of jail...now i just feel sad for him.

Hi Angie. I remember you. You were graduated or ...at least on the end of your 5th phase when I was there.
 You prolly wouldnt remember me as I never got past 3rd phase.
 I recognize most of the names you mentioned.

My e mail ... ( and to whom it may concern: Dont bother sending any trojans/ virus my way as my programs will catch it anyway ) ~ last time I posted my e mail I recieved no less than 4 attempted virus sent my way .... :lol: Ill give you an E for effort though.

I hear ya Brad, what is the deal with all the viruses.  I posted my email address the other day and now everyday my virus detector has found tons.  Are our posts being sold out to some fat marketing list?  Wears me out.

It's great that people want to sue Straight and the "powers that be" behind Straight.  But don't you think the statute of limitations has run??  I'm not versed in Texas law other than work/comp and that I've even forgotten a lot of.  But it seems to me that unless a Complaint was filed within a certain time limit, you're up the creek, so to speak.

But that's just it.  If the statute of limitations runs out, then there's nothing you can do about Straight and what they did.  You can ralley against it's off-shoots and copy cat rehabs and you can lobby your senators, but you can do nothing against Straight.  Is it fair?  No!  But that is they way the law is.

Yeah maybe you should find out before you start telling people they can't do something. Maybe this lawyer knows something that you don't know. I would hope he's not going through all this trouble without knowing something or knowing if he can do anything with it.

Under the RICO Act, there is no statue of limitions regarding organized child abuse.

I believe I read this on http://www.thestraights.com website.

I have no interest in lawsuits..Dont want or need their fucking blood money. My Lifes cool now and straight left no grip on me..hell I was smoking pot at school on 3rd phase on a regular basis..Funny that a 12 year old played them out like that...I never got caught.
 Gonna hop in bed and smoke a fatty with Groovy in memorium.  :wink:
