I hear what you're saying as far as the names go - I just don't think it's cool to "name names" -

First name last initial is fine - revealing your own name is fine - it's just not cool "outing" someone on the web -

I'd love to know how the following are doing:

Scott & Bob C
John M
Mike T
Bob K

and I could easily just give my name and e-mail address to take it offline - get specific there for any follow up - then again you'd have to figure that anyone here is here cuz they were there - but again I wouldn't want someone "outing" me -

I do like the idea of having a place for ex Straightlings to congregate -

It's a catch 22 I guess - so I got no bad feelin's or malice about it...

We ate at host homes only on Sunday when we didn't have to be til noon. Some homes had breakfast..of course my mandatory dry toast & dixie cup of OJ didn't tell me much about their cooking skills.Maybe creating bad food was a special training course offered..like Rational Behavior Therapy.

I suggest you write an RSA on exactly why you fell asleep last night.

LOL! - good consequence - ok - wrote an RSA and a special M.I.

My host family made the WORST meals - I remember sandwhiches that were so thin you could see through them!

We'd come home from "the building" and get the absolute worst meals - one night I made the mistake of saying "Gee Mom - this half slice of microwave pizza was kind of bad and I'm still hungry - can I have something else?"

It was like I took a dump on the table - the whole family and my 2 old comers just stared blankly at me...I was brought to the basement and BLASTED!

It's funny - as I remember this and type it I start getting pissed - LOL! -

 :wstupid:

"Who'd like to give Father Abraham a hug?"

LOL!

I'd like to give you a hug but you are on the guys side so I'm looking at the floor while I type this to you.

Besides I think you appear to be ungrateful-you're supposed to be thankful for receiving any food AT ALL. Remember you did all the necessary things to be here.

I'd suggest a week or so on the PB & J to improve yourself.

I am just now getting pissed :flame:

It is amazing that the mere memories produce such powerful emotions still.

Another funny thing -

The idea of being gamey with the girls side is SUCH a turn on - LOL!

I guess being 16 and sitting so close to teenage girls and being told that you're not to look at or be gamey with kind of stays with you -

Listening to some of their past incidents - GEESH!

LOL! - Hormones running wild!

I always felt so bad about getting crushes on girls from "The Girls Side" -

   Gamey girls! I'd forgotten that little bit of slang. How many times did i hear that one?

You know sometimes I still find myself looking at the floor for some subliminal fear or guilt. How weird is that? I have to MAKE myself look people in the eye sometimes.

Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you recognize a mistake when you make it again.

To the person who listed names: I don't know what Straight VA is or was but I do know an S. Bowers that lived in Northern VA and was in plenty of programs in the 80's and 90's. I remember him telling me about being in some treatment center and found another kid hanging dead. He never got over that. I've been searching for S. for a few months now and I bet it's the same person. Anyway, S. is dying of aids. After getting his life together and getting married and having 2 kids this is his closing chapter. His condition is well known by everyone he knows in this area and he would not care that his name is listed on this website. I've known him for over 20 years and I know him through and through. If it's the same person you now have an answer to where and how he's doing.
