I would like to send them a link to the kidsofnorthjersey website.  Before I do, do any of you foresee any reason I shouldn't?  Do you think it could have any backlash on me legally?

I was wondering the same thing. Is it going to screw up anyone else's efforts to get info on him???

http://www.thestraights.com would be a good one to send, with that big picture of him on the front page and all the information Wes Fager has gathered on our favorite megalomaniac.

We need advice on this.  We want to take action to protect others from Miller Newton, but we can't unless we're sure it won't cause damage.

Could Frank S. please PM me so I know if it's OK to start dropping documents off at this place?  I don't want to fuck up anyone else's efforts, but I want[/b] this guy.  He's the one I hold most responsible for destroying my family and many others as well.

I think it an excellent idea to send e-mails or notify the church that he works at about his past. Why should he have a normal life after what he has done, hasn't he learned from all the lawsuits. I mean don't these places run backround checks on their employees. Their the dumb asses who let him practice under a holy name, which he is far from! So to reiterate e-mail the church and don't worry about it he obviously doesn't care. ::deal::

Frank, please email me [email protected]  I'd like to talk to you about this and some staff that you may know.

All this that you are talking about in this thread has already been done.
You may want to check with Kim F. of the njbbs and kidsofnorthjersey.com.

If I remember correctly, Wes even had documented correspondance from Miller's attorneys on the matter buried somewhere at thestraights.com

That's why I was asking.  I thought I had heard something about it and I didn't want to fuck with anything someone else was doing.  I'll contact Wes.  Thanks.

My error, the correspondance on Wes's site had to do with Miller being listed on the abusive priest webpage, not regarding the documentation sent to Millers church.  That HAS been done though.  Kim may be a better resource on what has been done directly moreso than Wes, she claimed direct involvement in the matter.

First, I don't see how anyting anyone is doing could get screwed up by someone else giving valid info to Virgil's current associates. But I'm pretty sure the church heirarchy is well familiar with all of it. They either don't believe us or they don't see anything wrong with Virgil's avocation. Remember that it's taken 20 years to get the Catholic archdioces to concede that child rape by priests is quite inapropriate. But it couldn't hurt to try. Besides, I think ppl sort of drop a line on these ppl from time to time spontaniously, w/o any coordination. I read a newspaper interview w/ a rep from DFAF just a year or two ago where she said they get so many angry calls from former Straightlings that they have to carefully screen calls. A couple of friends of mine once dropped in on their business office asking for printed material about marijuana. They keep the door locked and, unless they like the people seeking access, they just open the door a crack and give them the brush off. Now, I ask you, what kind of way is that to run a business?

"Pokrov has found several web sites and articles about alleged abuses and various lawsuits against Fr. Cassian Newton and organizations he was involved in (Straight, Inc. and KIDS in Bergen, New Jersey). Now an Antiochian priest and director of Church at the Sea Foundation, a pan-Orthodox retreat center, Fr. Cassian is based in the St. Petersburg, Florida area and in 1999 applied to the State of Florida to give substance-abuse counseling to youth in Pinellas County.
