Gina and Sheila both commited suicide, I tried to contact their parents but was never able to. I have gotten in touch w/ a lot of people from straight and felt privilaged to call them my friend. (not you mr. kemp)
Anyway, I went on my 4th phase w/ Shannon A. and she flirted w/ my cute brother the whole time.
I went w/ Kim on her 4th phase vacation and will never forget it. I love her dearly!!
Hey, Shannon, do you remember reporting me for hugging my counselor at PDAP when I came home? He was so hot, still is.
Just so you all know, I was in the program for 19 months and I was never confronted in Fri. OMR and never confronted by anyone like most of you all did. Guess I was very lucky.

Oh fuck thats just..sad. Uuuugh that bums me out..
 So many gone....

Damn, Val how did you never get confronted in OMR? Thats...amazing. Think you were on 4th when I came in and then were non compliant....and you got pulled before me? or right after? All of the Midland kids got pulled after you and I.. I guess after the main Parents group began to dwindle it lost its strength...Glad you are Ok...havent seen you since AA back in 1989 or so.

Release and run to me you can never look back to the visions from the
past they fade and wilt in time,
You've got to just trust me to hold your hand through,
Then I turn and walk away,

I forgot about Bob.  His cheeks were always rosy.  Not my type.  Didn't know Valorie that you were at the York host home when I copped out.  Didn't remember that.  I'm doing really good.  It's been one week since my surgery.  I ran out of percocets and so they got me on hydrocodone, so I'm still a little buzzing some.  I'm glad you are doing good.  Had heard through the grapevine several years ago that you didn't want to hear about me . . .  But it makes me really happy that you and Todd are trying to work things out.  Been through too many divorces and it sucks like a bitch.  Feel free to email me.

Valorie,

This is Amy Ebersole - i was in straight Dallas with you.  i, too, loved Kim, and I was so angry when they sent her out back to her family on 4th phase because her court order was up.  I didn't know until tonight what had happened to her, but i knew it probably wasn't good, and I've thought of her so much over the years.  when i read about the accident and the wheechair and jail - i literally just broke down and cried.  it's weird; i don't remember a whole hell of lot about straight, and i only recently started lokking at this site.  i'm glad you wrote about Kim - i needed to know, but i wish it were different.

i'm giving her my love.

Hi Amy, what was thatsong you always used to do?I remember you would get up in front of the group and do it, and it involved you doing a beat on your lap.

Somehow i got stuck with doing Vista from the girls side.  Not quite sure how it happened, other than that i've always had a big mouth - and, having dreamed of being an actress my whole life, i learned how to project at an early age.  what a gift in straight...don't know who you are, but i can tell you that i hate that song to this day.

I've often wondered why some programs, like Dallas Straight and Kids of El Paso, never lasted very long. And I've noticed something that might explain it. You people are some of the most intense and creative folks I've run into. Same w/ some of the KoEP ppl. Maybe ya'll and your families were just a little more resistant or rezilliant than most

OH MY GOD!!!!
Hey girl. How you been. I have thought of you so much since straight. You were one of my favorites. You used to make me laugh so much when it was really hard to find things to laugh about. I would love to get caught up.
Anyways, about Kim... I searched for her for about a year. I called the post office, the news paper and her juvenile probation office. I finally made contact w/ her grandmother who told me about the accident. I spoke w/ Kim a couple of times, she was so dear to me. Shortly after out last conversation she was imprisoned. She really had no business going back to her folks. Foster care would have been much better. Anyways, she will always have a special place in my heart as will Ellen Savage... and yourself.

I have spoken w/ several people since straight and heard of others who don't want to be known because of grudges others may have against them. I can honestly say that I have NO grudges against anyone from straight. I made friends, aquaintences, and one life long lover and husband in straight. I take the good, blow the bad off and go on w/ my life. The people who were so awful to so many did what they had to in some cases and some abused the privilage and power to dominate. NO ONE IS PERFECT, 'cept JESUS!!
I welcome anyone to speak their mind, just don't be so quick to judge. We have all fallen short of the glory of god, we are all SINNERS!!!
I sincerely hope that everyone from my group (that is still living) has a long and fruitful life not letting those days ruin or shadow their life today.
LOOOOOOOVE YA GROUP!!!
