Hi MightyAardvark and everyone,
Well, I'm new at this; I'm still in training and my experience before this is in social justice activism/community organizing on a number of issues, not in the business world...so I am learning as I go. (I shamefully admit that I have never even had an economics class.)
I do know that a great deal of information is easily available on publicly held corporations, such as the annual report, proxy statement, "10-K" form, etc. These public documents would address how the company is doing financially and probably any lawsuits that it is facing. But when it comes to privately held corporations, I'm still not sure where to go. I'm going to meet with a couple of people and try to find out, though. I'm learning quickly--I've just started with the group and am reading voraciously--so I hope to be able to give you a better answer soon...for now, that's all the pitiful information I can offer...sorry
Also, I wonder if any of WWASP's various fronts--Adolescent Services Int'l, Teen Help, Help My Teen, Resource Realizations/Premier Education, and any others I haven't yet discovered--is publicly held. Do you happen to know? I searched some online databases of publicly held corporations--including the Securities and Exchange Commission site--but none of these WWASP's seemed to be listed as publicly held corporations. I'm not sure what this proves though.
By the way, do you find out that WWASP is owned by the Lichfield family partnership by looking online? Is there more info on this online? I've done a search but so far haven't found very much that is helpful on this.
Anyway, I'll keep researching and let you know what I find out...I'll write in again soon
Peace,
Rosa L
