Protest Critique (Thru my eyes)

i had a bad "'gram" too{i hate that word"program"}
on my third day in that f-ing place,i sliced my hand wide open! my 3rd day there!.....that place sucked in every way shape and form! nothing about it was cool at all! i got "started over" on day 128 of my 5th phase!i should've finally "7 stepped",but nooooo,i had skoal on me in my belongings being "searched" in the area where they searched everything that left the building!
i followed all the procedures....had the nessesary
"approvals" for an 18 yr old to have in there{sr.staff and parents "permission"}.....but i was "F.O.S.".....holy %&^%*&^  !!!!.....you know S.O.P.{standard operating procedure}.....bend over hippie! bend over!.......good ol' miller gave it to me good that night!after what seemed like a million years,in open meeting review,i was dropped to 4th phase "refresher",the next day,i was started over!they spent most of the day on me.....i had to do everytrhing all over again!
i should've run away, but i was from virginia, didn't know my way around, saw what happened when ppl tried to get out or leave....
{read "why i never split from st.pete" posting}..
it'll explain why i didn't try and leave....i in no way had it good in str8,yes,i made other phases, but i believe in st.pete that was because i
was so far from home.....if you guys in that area, couldn't escape them very well....what were my chances? after attempting a "suiside" in there,
and seeing how my parents responded to it,i knew the only real way to get out of there for me was to finish! i knew my mom would've had me hunted down and put back in there! i was also on probation in str8 till i was 18 from virginia! honestly,i understand your anger....there's a couple i'm still  mad at.....after dealing with
one that was on my "angry list",i've come to see that there's 3 kinds of angry from that place....
#1.mad at your parents/family
#2.mad at the others around you
#3.mad at paticular staff members!

the family one? thats personal and up to you how you deal with that one.
being mad at others around you for thier partisipation in the smearing of you....whatever kind of smears you got in there....most i believe
didn't do it for pleasure, they had to do it or it was the same for them too!that's how i remember the "kiss ass to whatever staff says" factor working on all of us! some did enjoy hurting the phasers.but over all you can find it in your heart to forgive a lot of the B.S. the group might have given you....not all,but you know what i mean.....
the last kind of immediate anger i feel in this three parts i just told you about, without a doubt in my head is the toughest one! some staff were really robots who had a lot of bull shit blown up thier ass about having "potential",being "special"
some staff member were unforgivably mean and cruel! to me its miller newton, jim sailor...well, you get the picture,.....thats how my therapist showed me how to channel my anger towards the f-ing place! anyhow,it helps me.....yeah,there were ppl i could've gone postal on in there,i just separate the anger in these columns so i can deal with it better....hip

To the Anon's question of, "Do we have any proof of this?"

I saw a camera pointed at me, I saw the same camera pointed at the others and guests of the event.

Any proof of the cameras existence, or even filming at the time...no...not unless a file is uploaded to a web-site for all to see. I was told that it would be published on Wes's site. If that is not done, there is no proof of the cameras existence.

As to the event and our actions there; since it was public record, a quick search of the Tampa Police Departments records will probably indicate something took place at the Ala Carte Pavilion. As I mentioned in the original post, there were a total of two police vehicles. One of the policemen told me a supervisor was in route, if that was true?I am sure there was a report and or record of the event.

The venue its self can be approached for verification of the evenings event, ask them how they handled our presence.

All that is left is my word. You can take it, or leave it. Your acceptances of my account of the evening?s events don?t change the facts. There is, as I illustrated, a way of proofing my post?but that?s on you.

As to other observations made, they were just that, my own observations. As the other Anon pointed out..."He said Thru my eyes That means.... This is a subjective account of the event, his own personal view with facts interjected. "

Allow for another observation?this is our forum, for the most part. We all come and go out our leisure, we all come from various viewpoints on life, we all have our own ideas, goals and aspirations. We have our moments of intense rage, charming wit, razor sharp sarcasm and a tendency to wanna strike at any perceived threat. This is who and what we are. We are the product of their efforts. We were trained to do this?. brainwashed to do this?as a result we are all very good at this. We are all scared deeply from this, and yet we continue to do it.  As a group of people, this is just what we do. Not excusing it, not endorsing/promoting it?just observing it.

Another Anon wrote ?These guys are in it for themselves and only use others if they can to gain something for themselves.? I questioned this myself prior to leaving the house. I wanted to know who was attending?same as the year before or, new faces. I also wanted to know what the agenda was, because the year before, to me, seemed to have a clear message?perhaps because my own understanding of the message was still yet unclear. And yeah, I wanted to gain something?or I would not have left the house. If I were pressed to answer what it was I actually hoped to have gained, I am not sure I could articulate an answer that would satisfy my own inquisitiveness, much less yours. Wish I could tho.

?Can?t we all just get a bong??

whatever your headtrip is man....i wasn't a sheep
in str8,and i wasn't a sheep as a hippie! i don't believe in everything anyone is into! i believe in owning guns...uhhhhh! uh oh....thats not to hippie is it? i believe a moderation of everything keeps everything from being to far to one side!to far left, and you have "goon squads"
to prevent you doing anything wrong, taking your ability to defend yourself away etc! to far right, and you get the same thing.....more "goon squads".......being in the middle prevents any group from getting so big we cant turn the tables if they're getting out of hand!.....as far as top 40,top 10,....we didn't have much in the way of "underground music"....all of the hippie music was underground,dude.....as a few generations took over,it became commercial! in its time it wasn't commercial at all! the gratful dead was probably the first "undergroud" band!....they didn't scape the commercial society till 25 yrs after they hit the scene!....alice cooper was way "underground" in his first 4 albums!.....even the beatles were "underground" in thier last 3 years....especially "sgt.pepper" "magical mystery tour" albums!....they were a very far cry from the traditional trends in music! they made "underground" a household name!.....pink floyd was extremly "underground"!....it would take 13 records to finally hit pay dirt with "dark side of the moon"....oh and uh,every band is hoping to make a sucsess in thier venture in an album, its the way they eat,pay thier bills,
make more musical recordings etc etc.....today,anyone can make a record! 12 track digital recorders can be had by anyone!..."underground" has a braod term today....
if you suck, you can always say "oh,i'm in an underground band""we don't play for money!"...lol...yeah,right!.....why even make a cd
if you're not hoping to make some money from it? it cost something to make the cd.....hippie

Whatever caveman.  You prolly have "Virgin Killer" and "Bats out of Hell" on 8 track next to your "Roady" ticket stub.  I saw one of those 8 track players once in a museum.

Alice Cooper was a history teacher.  I saw him talk about the Milwaukee indians on "Waynes World"

I personally learned a lot from the Grateful Dead, and Jerry Garcia. I learned to be more open minded (LSD helped). The music, and the atmospere they provided have been missed by many. It has not, and never will be the same without Jerry. He gave more to this world, then you ever will.

You have all of Alice Cooper's albums signed? That does not count when you bring the whole pile of albums to him and have him sign them all in one sitting (signed in Black Sharpie laundry marker,I presume).

True, but if you display your entire collection of autographed Alice Cooper records at the same time, doesnt it look kind of strange that all of the signatures look exactly the same and done with the same pen?
Look,Im just bustin your balls ,Kid.
I AM Alice Cooper!

What a stupid argument.  Identifying with what are essentially fashion trends is pretty sheeplike, and calling yourself a "hippy" or a "punk" is like calling yourself a Tory or a Whig.  The predictability of attacking hippies to "prove your punkness" is lame, really the same kind of knee-jerk reaction that you claim to be so above and beyond.

As far as the Grateful Dead being the "original undergeround band", well that stinks of the typical self-congratulatory hippy bullshit that makes people want to kick their asses.  Yeah, Garcia had a somewhat innovative guitar style, but to listen to some of their fans tell it, they fucking invented music.  In reality, most everything the Grateful Dead did was done with more style and finesse by Miles Davis on "Bitches Brew".

Saying that something sucks simply because it is popular is a pretty immature notion, and the "angry young punk" costume looks ridiculous on anyone over age 23, almost as ridiculous as a balding man with long hair or dreadlocks.  By pretending that your particular choice of music, fashion, hairstyle, etc. somehow qualifies you as "subversive", "hip", "radical", or some other "threat to the mainstream" in and of itself is to delude yourself, cloud your thinking, and clamp yourself down into the most brain-dead, trivia-obsessed, self-absorbed programmed, pre-packaged lifestyle imaginable, all the while reassuring yourself that you are somehow superior to others who do not share your enlightened vision.  If you need external signals to tell you who is on your side and who isn't, you have already lost.  There are DEA agents who know every word to "Trucking" and drug-testing lab technicians with Black Flag tattoos.

Grow up, the both of yas, and learn to think for yourselves.  There's a lot more roles in life you can play besides "hippy martyr" or "punk avenger".
