B.O.C._"Then Came the Last Days of May"(v)...love the guitar lead and my favorite part of the song is when the back ups sing: "...what luck..."

The Superdudes_Superdude Movie Sounds(v)...its taken me a while to even figure out what this is, but now it seems like an album of movie soundtrack hits taken from all the mainstream black hustler films of the 70's.  I can't tell from the paragraph on the back cover whether the Superdudes are made up of the main core of studio musicians who performed the originals or not.  Considering the ambiguity, I think not.  In which case these would be the cover versions of:

"Superfly" (C.Mayfield)
"Freddies Dead"(C.Mayfield)
"Slaughter"(Billy Preston)
"Time Is Tight(From "Uptight")(Booker T. Jones)
"Bumpy's Lament"(From "Shaft")(Isaac Hayes)

"Theme From Shaft"(Isaac Hayes)
"Bumpy's Blues"(Isaac Hayes)
"Trouble Man"(Marvin Gaye)
"Symphony For Shafted Souls"(The Big Chase)(from "Shaft's" Big Score)(Gordon Parks)

;by the Superdudes.  Pretty cool.

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

Hey, Starry.. ah, pretty good. .

No., your guess is as good as mine...

I would have to hear it in order to perhaps tell whether or not they were the original cuts.

Ahh well.  Thanks anyhow.

I really enjoy your forum here.  Keep up the good work.

You know what ??  I gotta a Curtis Mayfield record here somewhere, with "Superfly" on it.  I'll check it out.  I think they're covers though.

That's a damn good one, one of the recordings that first piqued my interest in the Grateful Dead.
