Then about 10pm I walked about a half mile down E. Washington st. to the Villanova Inn, which is a small, strictly blues bar and there's never a cover. I caught Glen Pavone and the Cyclones. They're outta Pittsburgh. I had seen 'em once about 11 years ago down at Genes', 'cross the Mon' river and thru the ol' liberty tubes from the city, which the drummer tol' me aint 'round no mo', Genes' that is not the city, I think Pittsburgh is still in the same place. I knew they would tear the joint down and I was not dissapointed. Uhh...I don't have a set list, but they did play 3 sets and featured such standards as "Little Wing" and "Voo-doo Chil'". I think they played some obscure Beatles tune and a couple S.R.V. songs, and some stuff I had never heard. There were a lot of musicians in the crowd and no shortage of sexxxy women there all dancin and shakin' what they got. The last set was the best. They had the room mesmerized by then and were playin' a lot of slow and languid instrumental blues...you know stuff that requires a lot 'a' touch. Fuckin nice. I cut out as soon as they were done. Stayin' outta trouble don't'cha know.
