Can he not go home?  Seems that would be the safest place maybe?

Are the parents not upset with the person who gave them money so they could leave Whitmore?

And, the one that is still gone from home...who is looking out for him?  Anyone?

Who's looking out for him? Well, if these anon posts are true, it looks like he's looking out for himself. We're not talking about a lost 6yo., ya' know. We're talking about a young man who, in a matter of monts (at most) will be fully qualified to vote or go to war.

He who joyfully marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice.

Everybody needs somebody.  Must be bad blood between his family and he.

Well, I don't know, but it seems reasonable to guess that if the kid phoned home for help, they'd help him into another Program. And, by the look of things, maybe he's had just about all the help he can stand.

Thought that is silenced is always rebellious. Majorities, of course, are often mistaken. This is why the silencing of minorities is necessarily dangerous. Criticism and dissent are the indispensable antidote to major delusions.
