"My boss and friend breeds champion rottweilers. One of them had pups today. Woohoo
What would otherwise cost $2200 dollars will not cost me a dime. I reserved a choice female from the litter"
$2200.00 for a Rottie, what a rip off. I have 3 Rotties, well 2 now one passed away from cancer. My youngest who is almost 6 months is champion bloodline, akc papers, certified hips and was $750.00, which is considered a high price to pay but that is what I paid.
This breeder is ripping you off, by the way does he gaurntee the health? Total highway Robbery $2200.00, I think you are full of shit! You either would have to be an idiot to spend that much on a Rottie or sell one for that much.
My Rottie also has a family tree which goes back 6 generations on his certified papers, will yours?
Do you even know about what cancers Rotties are subseptible too? Do you even care? If you have done your homework on a Rottie you would know $2200.00 is an outrageuos asking price, you probably are getting this Rottie from a back yard breeder you cares only about making money.
What about hip displasia? Rotties are known for it, Parvo, better not have that pup come in contact with any other dog or fecal matter until all the shots are administered.
Did you ask to see papers on both the parents so they are not imbred?
If you want to become a Rottweiler owner there is alot of reserch you need to do and facts you need to know.
Do you know the proper weight a full grown Rottie should have? Do you know the proper percentage of protein a rottie pup should have? What about when the Rottie becomes and adult? Then the Rottie will become a Senior, you need to know all this.
I am not a breeder but will be mating my boy in a year or so and a Rottie is not your average dog that you decide to buy on a spare of the minute.
I hate when people say, "I'm getting a Rottie" And dont know a damn thing about the history of the Rottweiler.
I also was curious of something, the breeder you are getting this Rottie from, did he/she even bother ask you what kind of enviroment the pup will be resideing in? Do you have other dogs? Are they updated with their shots?
Seriously reconsider the Rottie if you know nothing about them.
Did you also know Rotties not only get hip displasia but also can easily throw out theoir knees? Aslo if that does happen expect to pay at least $800.00 per knee to have it corrected.
Do you have a pickup truck? Don't allow the rottie to jump off the bed of that truck regardless if he/she is a pup or an adult, you will hurt their knees.
Please do alot of extensive research before considering one.
