history: up until recent history (1980s), a man could beat his wife, as long as he didn't beat her to death or put her in the hospital. i suspect in some cases even now, that is still true by practice but not by policy (law). now he cannot "legally" do that. my next example would be to the "black movement", but for sake of argument, i need not go there. so i ask the reader to turn thoughts for a moment about the woman's and the black people's movement and when and whether they have rights to whether our children (future of humanity) have rights.
