Complaint noted, however, there are so very many people with the same names out there. Do a search on your name and see what comes up. There are all sorts of things.
On the other hand, some peeps have more unique names and it would be easier to 'narrow it down' when it comes to them...

Unless someone were looking in particular for this kind of information, which they would have already validated via another source in order to even have such an intent, well....see where I am going with this?
Yeah, but in light of what I wrote above I don't think it's true..

Quote
I can look up my husbands name in Google and find everything from war criminals to hockey scores with his name attached to it.
Some names will yield much narrower search results.

Quote
Something tells me that anyone who reads about anyone elses history via the internet, would already have a working knowledge of the person and what they had done/said to begin with if they were to match the Fornit's information to the individual. Make sense?
No, not necessarily..

Quote
Besides all that, if someone made sexually indecent comments and gestures to me in the program, it would be my personal opinion that their anonymity could take a flying leap. Screw tackiness.

In this case I would agree 100%, call them out.

XXXXXXXXXX and I hung out with Tyler on New Year's Eve 1991.  Pat and I were still practicing sobriety then, and TXXXr said he was, but we had a strange feeling that he wasn't.  After that TXXX was in a horrible car wreck in Houston, the driver of the car died.  Me & XXXXX went to see him in the hospital in Houston.  He was on a feeding tube at the time.  When they found him at the wreck, both his legs were busted up and over his shoulders.  The car was a two seater Miata or something like that.  He had been life-flighted to the hospital.  When he got discharged from the hospital, he was transferred to a rehabilitation hospital where he practically had to re-learn to walk.

I saw him again with XXXXX in like November or December of 1991, we all tripped acid one night together.  I never saw him again after that.  I wish I knew what happened to him.  Anyone know anything more recent??"

Do you have zero respect for these peoples' privacy, or do you just not know any better? "

Fuck their privacy...so I guess you can add me to the zero respect category.

Anyway, I'm suprised at the number of folks from 88-91 on this board.  All we use to hear is how 'hardcore' (wait - is that druggie slang?) Richardson building was....then I met this girl named Sessy who was in there after me and she said all they told her was how 'hardcore' 88-90 was...funny.

I was there when they changed that (motivating), it's weird that it was hard to quit. As weird as motivating was, it served as a way to let out pent up aggression....thank god, for motivating :nworthy:  :nworthy:  :nworthy:
...in a really sick, dark way!!!!

Ya, they changed motivating when I was there too, in 1990.

Methinks they relapsed for a while.  They also changed things like the word cop-out...to "eloped".

They changed belt-looping to walking arm in arm.

As I understood it, this was to meet with standards set by the investigators who had been around alot.

They also said clients were not allowed to help restrain other clients.  Staff only.  Unless of course 50 kids ran for the door at the same time and there wasnt enough staff in all of Dallas to restrain them.  Which happened just before I ran, for several days.

I was interviewed by an investigator once, but staff threatened me ever so subtly that if I talked about how I was given a concussion without medical help....well, I would be sitting on front row.  Funny, the investigator already knew about it from an ex-parent.  She asked me if I wanted to press charges and I lied and said no.  And that it didnt happen.  After all, I had to go back and face group fueled by a conniving executive staff member.  Fuck that!

There never was a good war or a bad peace.

I can't even imagine Straight without motivating or the belt loop walk...What drove me nuts is having to ask for everything...and if you looked at it while asking ...you were being manipulative.  "Can I pick up my fork"  "Can I speak out"....grrrr!  I remember when they told me my parents had dropped off my clothes and when I saw them it was shirts from County Seat and Guess Jeans....I went from Mowhawks and boots to that!!!  It was shock....Still I learned how to play a mean game of Spades in there...took a lot of prozac (I think thats what they were - never took them after STRAIGHT), and of course was worse when I got out then when I went in.  Does anyone Justin Peticrew (think that was his last name)?

Reading your post about the County Seat and the Guess jeans cracked me up, I actually laughed out loud.....that's so funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were all stripped of any identity and looked like a bunch of goobers. I have this weird memory of you wearing some purple and pink button up that was three sizes tooo big for you. Please mom, just a pair of Levi's and a black T-shirt. The gifts from the parents were always a let down. Did they cut your hair in there? Mine looked horrible, kind of a bowl number. I wish I had pictures.

Carmel is my name.  I am Carmel Woods now, was Carmel Fales in the program.

Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar.

Oh yea,  that sounds famiiar....I had clothes that I couldn't have made cool if I tried....Once I had to wear some jeans that were high waters and they were called humility clothes by my old comer...all because I made a small shampoo mohawk in the shower with my hair....I was "holding on to my druggie past"....I needed humility...they'd follow that day up with having to say all the things I liked about myself in the mirror..."I'm a snazzy dresser" I should have mentioned.  Yea, the clothes were horrible....Seems like I was always making lunches, cleaning the pee jug, and cleaning the kitchen when I was in there...all while wearing the latest STRAIGHT fashions or whatever your parents wished you had worn before you went in.....and they cut my hair when I got in down to nothing, because it was shaved on the sides.

I remember when they brough you back from copping out....you were pissed...

One of my most vivid memories is sitting there staring at the ceiling, Imagining blue skies with the occasional cloud drifting by, it was all I could do to survive from day to day (mentally) thinking to myself....I'm never getting out of here and singing Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb to myself. Do you remember using carmex, lip balm??????????

I remember when I got to 2nd or 3rd phase and another upper phaser told me I could listen to music...he gave me a walkman with Kool Moe D on it....I didn't even listen to that crap before I went in...just another let down...much like those county seat shirts I was forced to wear...
