Sending documents and links sounds like a fantastic idea!

Did anyone mention sending links to newspapers from New Jersey? Because that's credible and gives them a foundation to understand why we are protesting Newton.

I intend to let them know how I feel about Newton working with Floridian youth - from the point of view of a former youth that Newton "worked with."

I encourage everyone to do the same.

The link mentioned earlier says to address all correspondence to "His Eminence" or to the Archidiocese Office at:

Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese
PO Box 5238
Englewood, NJ  07631-5238

and the contact for the webmaster at the site is:

webmaster@antiochian.org

I think it's a good idea to send an e-mail and a hard-copy to the Office / His Eminence. That way, they're sure to get the message if the webmaster doesn't deliver it.

But - is there an address for the Florida church?

There are two florida "churches"- one is the "christ by the sea" in madeira beach which is not really a church.  That is the retreat in a building that newton owned and transferred to a non profit organization.  The other is what was his regular church and may still be.

Cassian's not-for-profit is listed as:
Christ "At The" Sea Foundation

Christ "By The" Sea is not affiliated with St. Nicholas.

How recently did St. Nicholas confirm Rev. Newton's affiliation?

I also thought he was no longer affiliated with the Antiochian Orthodox Church.

Can someone please clarify any of this?

According to the information I have been able to have verified, Newton IS still affiliated with St. Nicholas, though I'm not sure in what capacity.

Newton has his own Not-for-profit. Christ At The Sea Foundation. However, Christ At the Sea Foundation is not affiliated with St. Nicholas.

Anyone have anymore on this?

How is it that any respectable church continues an affiliation with an abusive priest with a history like that?

What kind of pressure will it take and who should that pressure be put on.

my understanding is that Miller and Ruth Ann are definetly affeliated with a church.  I also believe that the members of the group who live near him [Kristi and the Mosses] are active in the church.  He also still has his fingers on the pluse of all his followers who get advise from him about everything.  You know, we aren't talking about kids who are fragile because they haven't been straight for long.....we are talking about adults 30's and 40's, who have been "straight" for as long as 15 or more years.  I really can't understand the whole thing.  I know that everyone will say " cult", but it still makes me wonder.  Please, anyone who can do something to stop Newton, do so, before he becomes old and feeble, and it won't matter any more.

My understanding is that Newton is supposedly working with the elderly and some married couples and is not supposed to be working with / not allowed to be working with children or teenagers.

Fr. Cassian Newton  has a connection with both Christ by the Sea Foundation and with St. Nicholas, but St. Nicholas has no connection with Christ  by the Sea according to St. Nicholas Administration.

Who are the Mosses and Kristy?

Our Constitution is in actual operation; everything appears to promise that it will last; but in this world nothing is certain but death and taxes.
