Actually, nature has a way of evening the score.
Joy Margolis was a spokesmodel for Straight, Inc. back in the day. She was also a spokesmodel for Lutheren Family Services, which operates nursing homes in Florida and at least one group home for juveniles in the Broward area.
LFS was already in some hot water before Tony Dumas hung himself at the place in Broward. They had apparently been taking advantage of their clients. They'd secure power of atty (all their money, iow) then keep them in substandard houseing and punish them in various ways if the squeeled.
This sort of scam is more common than you might expect in Florida. I think it's the height of irony that some Program parents might very well land up in the Program, for all intents and purposes. After all, the best marks for this kind of scam are ppl w/ considerable assets to take and no close family to look out for them.
