Carey Brock hires WWASP affiliated attorney
« on: February 11, 2004, 07:33:00 PM »
What does everyone need to understand what Carey has done?  She accepted $12,500 from WWASP for her computer data and now has a WWASP affiliated attorney to handle her new law suit.  She had no money to pay an attorney, remember the crying on this fornits board from her?  Now, she has this powerful attorney who links right back to WWASP.  What do you survivors think of her now?

All good points anon!  I think Frod13's comments all along turned out to be right on the money (whoops, sorry about the pun.)

I think she's a desperate woman facing a lawsuit with insufficient resources who was about to lose *regardless* of the merits of her case because the plaintiffs were pursuing a default judgement without the merits of the case even being heard.

I think that the plaintiffs pushed her into taking whatever lawyer she could get by ignoring her need for a continuance.

Their right to do that, legally---it's just part of the game.  Their right to try to spin a desperate woman taking whatever legal help she could get in a pinch as some sort of evil collaboration, too.

It's the right of anybody with eyes and brain to see that whether Carey is a saint, a sinner, or somewhere in between along with the rest of us, to recognize the spin of one group of combatants for exactly what it is---spin.

Carey isn't my favorite person, but I'm not going to get drawn into somebody's spin on one side or another of a lawsuit where both sides reek a bit.

And you, Anon, look like a partisan in this lawsuit on the PURE side.

A plague on both their houses, I say.

I am not on anyone's side.  Carey would not be in this situation if she had not already sold out to WWASP.  Pure, I know very little about.  And don't care to, my argument is with Carey selling out twice to WWASP.  And everyone seems to want to defend her.  I don't understand any survivor doing that.

Let's settle this right now, for once and for all...   yeah, as if, right?

The argument to defend Carey on that point is that she took the $$ because WWASP would have siezed the data anyway..I don't know... :???:

I'm right with ya' on that, Frod. I wasn't there and no one can know the mind of another. But it's as plausible as any other comment on the issue, moreso than many others I've read.

But what's the background for this thread? I don't have time now to go digging for the answer, but I can watch this thread for it. Who's the lawyer and how are they affiliated w/ WWASP?

May your days be joyfully challenging and your words artfully true

Reminder:

Wwasp did not know Carey had the emails on her computer until SHE told them. It was an act of vengence.

I think you need to ask Carey who the vengance was for.  She told WWASP she had the info, how else would they have known?  From there it was just negotiating a price for it.  As far as Alan Kipnis, go to the sight already mentioned earlier.  His son was at TB for three years and he represents WWASP in the South Florida area for any potential law suits.  He is a programed parent.  Why don't all of you check this out and quit defending poor little Carey?   She gets herself in these messes with her big mouth and selling out to the devil.

Frod ,

That's old news and I believe you you know the answer. I won't waste my time or yours and others rehashing the old news.

It WAS an act of vengence which implicated other people who had never "hurt" her or her family.

In her mind the "TRUTH" had to be told.

The HYPOCRISY is very telling.

I haven't had much luck getting direct answers out of Carey. And, it is entirely possible that WWASP found out through other means, isn't it?

Do you really take my questions as "defending her?" I'm not doing that. Geez, a guy can't ask you to elaborate a little? This is what I hate about this whole topic. You all come on here and jabber away, and then when someone wants to find out more about this crap, they meet with this sort of condescending bullshit. It's this sort of crap that turns people off (myself included) to this litigious rigmarole. And BTW,  my reasons for asking were so that the beans could be spilled once again, but concisely, for my benefit and/or the benefit of anyone else who might not be quite as up to speed on all of this as you are, Perry Mason.

What?  PURE didn't expect Ms. Bock to just roll over did they?  I'm glad she has an attorney who is apparently up-to-speed with the issues at hand.  As for the WWASPS connection, BFD.  You people seem to forget that Scheff once had a connection with WWASPS, too, both as a parent and recruiter.

Fro -

Well put, Well Put!

I saw a little word of wisdom in the comics this morning.

I think at times it would do us all a wolrd of good to reflect on the words of Dennis the Mennis:

Honesty may be the best policy; but sometimes its better to keep your mouth shut!

Frod, that was not directed at you.  Ask away and check the answers for yourself.
