First, I did not go the school that Caroline was staff, so I have no idea what is true or false. I do know staff from a sister school where the posted issues are true.
What happened at these "schools" (they weren't though--that was a misnomer) was rampant, widespread, systemic emotional and verbal abuse. You cannot tell kids they weren't abused. Unless you attended the school, you cannot make this claim. You also have no idea the sick and twisted things the staff said and did to us knowing we were helpless. However, if you believe that Caroline is credited with specific abusive acts in the program that are untrue, speak on her behalf. There is virtually no way that a staff member wasn't either abusing kids or condoning it, but if you can say that specific acts attributed to her are false, then by all means.... say so.
If Caroline was a former student who became staff after her graduation, it is likely she was one of the worst offenders to students. This was quite common... often former students were among the worst staff.
In any event, no one will take kindly to you revictimizing students... you have NO idea what we have been through. But certainly, what the CEDU staff did to us was harmful enough without more inaccuracies piling up to boot. It would actually be great to have Caroline herself discuss her participation in the program, and I certainly hope she would be open to making amends. But, of course, she should not be held to any inaccuracies. I would like to make myself clear: I would hope that no one would broadcast untrue events as true, even in jest. I haven't read the whole thread because I did not attend same school, but I suggest you start there.
