Well I haven't actually been sued. I got a letter of demand that threatened suit. If they actually do file suit, then I get to find out how many such letters they've sent out, to whom, for what and what the recipients think about the whole thing.

So, if anyone else has gotten a similar letter or you know someone who has, please contact me. Judges tend to get rather annoyed with plaintifs who withhold fair game material during discovery.

Yes, Ginger you are right. Isn't that called SLAPP Actions? Seems that is a strong possibility here.  Rich organization trying to silence the not so rich people from telling there true stories.

Yeah if WWASP ever sued me I would just hire the most unscrupulous lawyer I could find and let him turn the discovery process into a nightmare as every document and record in their posession was publicized.

You don't need an unscrupulous lawyer.  Everything that goes into court pleadings or testimony is public record.  I personally scanned the Tranquility Bay testimony off of official transcripts which is available elsewhere at this site.  Now I can send links to everybody and his brother.  (I previously sent it on CD to everyone from leading journalists to the Jamaican supreme court and ministry of health)  WWASP will be hearing about it for the rest of their corporate existence.  If my case ever goes to a jury we're going to have LOTS of depositions and witnesses whose testimony will come back to haunt WWASP forever after.  I anticipate beating their SLAPP suit with little difficulty.  And then, they will discover that he who sues last sues best.

WWASP and other totalitarian organizations are just pissing themselves lately because, over the last decade, it's gotten so easy and inexpensive for regular people to find each other and swap info. That really sort of puts a kink in their pipes. They have an absolute need to keep us all from talking together.

And we're not the only ones. This forum represents, generally, people with firsthand or secondhand experience with a bunch of different Synanon based programs. In order to operate these programs over the last 30+ years (Waaaaaayyyy before they filed the corporate papers for WWASP, LLC), it seems logical that they've had to play rough, twist some arms, ruin some careers, manipulate some public budgets and policies and constantly cover up serious and minor crimes.

When you get sued, the questions to ask yourself are thse:
Who else have these bullies pissed on?
Who else would like to make some of their private documents public?
Who else would like to get them under deposition and under oath?
Finally, which lawyer(s) are most familiar with the game and the players and likely to be most adept at getting the best milage out of deposition?

We all have a built in disability in that, whether as parents or as unwilling clients, there's the supposition that we were damaged goods to begin with; that there was some reason why we wound up in this last-chance situation. These programs routinely take advantage of that weakness. But, in order to do so for so long, they have to fuck over a good many innocent bystanders. Those are the people we'd want to talk to.

[Note to WWASP principals:
Good night
Sweet repose
Sleep on your back
So you don't hurt your nose!
  ]

If we choose to violate the rights of the innocent in order to discover and act against the guilty, then we have transformed our country into a police state and abandoned one of the fundamental tenants of a free society. In order to win the war on drugs, we must not sacrifice the life of the Constitution in the battle.

You just hit upon a fundamental truth about human society.  I like to beleive that I was the first to make this observation:  Whenever there is an improvement in man's ability to communicate, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC REVOLUTION FOLLOW."

As a young man I majored in the Russian Language because I had a sneaky scheme to destroy the Soviet Union and get rich doing it.  I knew something like the Internet was in the works, and I wanted to help the Soviets get computerized.  I figured Marxism-Leninism could never survive the Internet.  Unfortunately, Chernoble screwed up my carreer plans.  Right now the Internet is playing a major role in political upheavals in Iran.  It's gratifying to me to know that my plan might have worked.

Jeff, are you kidding? "Enlighten the people generally and tyranny and oppression of mind and body will vanish like spirits at the dawn of day." --TJ He also said that "Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to choose the latter."

I'm sure you can find similar sentiments in the writings of ancient philosophers.

Ya'll, it takes all kinds. No one has to be the hero and no one person can be. There will not be a pop quiz at the end of this week, month or year so you don't have to figure out who's "good" and who's "bad". As a matter of fact, some of the folks who will do the most to thwart these abusive institutions are those who, right now, are their staunchest and most dedicated supporters today.

Just take your time, study the issues and personalities involved and draw your conclusions when you have enough info, not when someone puts you on the spot and demands alliegance.

Either cocaine and marijuana are terribly dangerous substances, and breaking the law by consuming them is a major offense that should be severely punished, or these are minor, personal matters that do not really count in the big picture of a man's life. If the latter is the case, then the rationale for a bloody, costly and futile war against drugs simply disappears.

So true, thanks Ginger.  There are countless "heroes" in this long crusade all of whom can be proud of their efforts to stand up to a goliath sized industry and some downright evil-minded people.

ALL FOR ONE and ONE FOR ALL!!!
