Abuse can be rehabilitation
« on: November 14, 2009, 02:37:29 AM »
I am working in a local grocery where some teenagers come in while on "leave" from their program.

One program caught my interest and during my reserch I found a parenting thread about a mother suspecting abuse:  abuse - or - not

Quote
It could be abuse, but this is also a proven method of rehabilitation- and not all using this are abusing the patient
Is abuse a proven method of rehabilitation?

The first 2 signs of abuse is for the abuser to get the victim isolated, and then cut off from family and friends.........

Sandpoint,You bring up an interesting question.  I would say it would depend on the person and in your case you are doing just fine.  You can pretty much take any experience and redefine it as abusive.  Being isolated and cut off from friends can mean being grounded for a week without your cell phone, yet we don’t call 911 when this happens.  So you need to place things in perspective and not search for excuses nor allow others to convince you that you were abused.  This negative thinking can only make things worse and further fuel your depression.  Focus on the people and events that make you happy and bring them closer and think of them more often instead of these negative thoughts.

Of course abuse is theraputic:  look at John McCain!  He spent years in a cage being tortured and looky, he almost became president!  I have a basement, some cages located right under a drippy sewer line (aroma therapy extra) to rehabilitate your kids and I charge less than a program.

Everyone on that Conduct Disorders forum needs to be raped to death. There's no excuse for any of that shit. One can only hope that their kids commit suicide, if only to stem the damage done to humanity by them being allowed to breed.

Exactly, also did he spend his live moaning about the North Koreans?  Or blame them for losing the president bid?  Did he spend his life trying to convince everyone that "All" Koreans are the same and will torture you if you give them the chance?

U.S. News & World Report
John McCain, Prisoner of War: A First-Person Account
By John S. McCain III, Lieut. Commander, U.S. Navy
Posted January 28, 2008

John McCain spent 5½ years in captivity as a POW in North Vietnam. His first-person account of that harrowing ordeal was published in U.S. News in May 1973. Shot down in his Skyhawk dive bomber on Oct. 26, 1967, Navy flier McCain was taken prisoner with fractures in his right leg and both arms. He received minimal care and was kept in wretched conditions that he describes vividly in the U.S. News special report:

This story originally appeared in the May 14, 1973, issue of U.S.News & World Report. It was posted online on January 28, 2008.

Of the many personal accounts coming to light about the almost unbelievably cruel treatment accorded American prisoners of war in Vietnam, none is more dramatic than that of Lieut. Commander John S. McCain III—Navy flier, son of the admiral who commanded the war in the Pacific, and a prisoner who came in "for special attention" during 5½ years of captivity in North Vietnam.

Edifying the who? His brain is like teflon (slippery and emits toxic fumes).
While we’re on dumb provocation Who posts, I’m pretty sure it posted the fourth one in on this thread due to some dark inner conflict. Sad troll.

God, he's dumb.  Using his logic, all kids in programs are spending their lives maoning about the post office.  What an idiot.

He always claims to be a great parent too.  What are his kids doing while he posts on Fornits 16 hours a day?  We all know he neglects his kids because he never leaves the computer.  "Daddy, please stop using the computer!  We're hungry and need baths!"   "I told you, when I'm DONE!!"  "But you're never done, daddy!"  Yeah he's a great parent all right.

The post office?  Ha,Ha,Ha  I get it, veterans.. posts office!!  Going "postal"!!!.  I think many of the ones who went postal and killed their friends blamed the post office for their problems... kind of an eerie connection.  I wonder if the postal people have a forum to discuss how abusive their industry is?  I wonder if they blame the North Koreans also.

No, you're actually so dumb you don't get it.  If McCain bitched about the North Koreans, who you claim held him prisoner, even though it was the North Vietnamese (you apparently don't know the difference between these countries) that would be like program kids bitching about someone other than the program, like dentists or mail order catalogues.  God, you're stupid.  No wonder you can't get a job.

Where are your kids while you spent your whole Saturday on Fornits complaining about people on Fornits, of which you are the most frequent poster?  Guess they had to miss out again, huh?

or maybe a better example would be like kids who complain about their parents when it was the kids actions which ended them up in the program.  Then when they dont apply themselves and end up at age 20 without a degree they start to moan about how abusive the program was and how it ruined their lives.  They have to blame someone right.  Couldnt possibly be their own fault.
