After an all day search on the web I was able to find numerous articles in the Orange County Register plus LA Times archives....Wes, I forward a few to you via email....
There is an extensive article in the LA Times titled, "Drug Programs Tough Tactics Draw Fire." By John Hurst March 1990.... It talks about the Kids prog and how Straight took over after they closed...
Also another article titled "3 Youth Treatment Centers Linked by Abuse Accusation"..John Hurst March 1990...LA TIMES
Ironically, I was put in Straigt in June of 1990..
Following my AWOL the State License interviewed me.
Subsequently, the SHIT really hit the fan....
July 31 1990 Orange County Register writes "Parents fight for anti-drug program" Carroll Lachnit...
Aug 4 1990 OC Register writes, "Drug treatment center must remain closed, judge rules....
