Hi Lily,
I couldn't find the testimony here with a search, but here's a link for you.

Hidden Lake Academy, after operating 12 years unlicensed will now be monitored by the state. Access information on the Federal Class Action lawsuit against HLA here: http://www.fornits.com/wwf/viewtopic.php?t=17700

Your honor - how many times have you been asked to send home a child in detention or juvenile hall here in the states for much worse?

Yes, being restrained would not be the desired result of a Cat 3 - what is a Cat 3 and why would restraining a calm child be required?

Did they simply bring this kid home or was there ever a lawsuit settlement?

And, because of the nature of this hearing there wouldn't have been any others that could testify it in more detail, or 'defend' the restraining as a way to keep a child from harming him/herself or others? Does it happen a lot more often in juvenile hall and other places where a child is placed against their will?

I guess we'll just have to wait for the class action suit to see.

The Class Action will be a rude awakening for many. Can't wait!    I think unemployment will be on the rise in St. George shortly.

PURE - thank you for sharing this.  I read the testimonies.  If these kids are going to testify they better be ready for a lot more than the sugary questions in these documents.  I actually feel bad for them.  They're the ones that will be torn to shreds.  Hell, I'm not even a a lawyer and I can shoot holes right through it without even wanting to.
