When parents have refused to determine the welfare of children held at treatment facilities, ISAC has filed child neglect reports with their state of residence. This has gotten many kids home.
ISAC Co-Director Shelby E. has prepared a report on Tranquility Bay, a facility located in Jamaica, at the request of the State Department.
ISAC has been instrumental in providing documentation to relatives of children in treatment. This documentation assisted their attorneys in filing for custody or demanding the removal of the child.
ISAC has filed a complaint with the Govenor of Florida demanding his reasoning for attending a fundraiser for a program under investigation by his own officials.
ISAC is working with survivors to organize a protest of the fund raiser.
ISAC will be paying for the flyers and permit while the survivors organize the event. ISAC will also be helping to provide transportation to the event. ISAC has filed a welfare and whereabouts complaint with the State Department regarding many children at Tranquility Bay.
ISAC is assisting the British press and government as well as the Canadian government in assuring that none of their citizens are in offshore programs. If they are, ISAC has been asked to assist in getting them out.
ISAC has been involved in rescue missions in foreign countries.
ISAC was asked by one Embassy to help rewrite their investigative procedures so that the investigations are are more productive.
Congress has asked ISAC to assist in drafting federal legislation concerning juvenile treatment centers.
ISAC has assisted in getting help for suicidal survivors.
ISAC has provided continuing support for spouses who find it difficult to live with a survivor.
ISAC is currently working to get the State Department and Embassies to take action regarding offshore programs.
ISAC Co-Director Shelby E. wrote a report regarding Straight, Inc. and submitted it to FactNet. As a result, Straight, Inc. is now listed as a cult.
ISAC has been mentioned by several news organizations including the Tico Times.
ISAC has saved over fifty children from abusive programs.
ISAC filed a complaint with the States of Michigan and Indiana. This report prompted both states to investigate Pathway Family Center and force compliance concerning host (foster) homes.
ISAC filed a report on Pathway Family Center with COA (Council On Accreditation). This is the organization that accredits Pathway. As a result, Pathway was put on probation and foced to come into compliance on many issues. The final decision on Pathway will be made in September.
ISAC has spoken to the Senate Foreign Relations Committe on various occasions. On one of these occassions ISAC was asked "What is it that you want?" Our response was that we want Mel Sembler removed as Ambassador to Italy among other things. Shortly afterwards, Mel Sembler announced his early retirement, with 2 years remaining on his appointment.
ISAC submitted a report about Miller Newton to a website that lists abusive priests. He is now listed as such and will surely lose his position with the church.
ISAC has a fundraising team in place.
The SAFE report, written by ISAC, was completed and submitted to the Office of Inspector General in Florida, the Department of Healh, the Department of Children and Families and the Department of Consumer Affiars. ISAC filed a complaint with the AMA and the American Psychiatric Association concerning the two doctors at SAFE. ISAC also contacted the corporate offices for Walgreen's Pharmacy regarding medication given to SAFE clients. Walgreens will be conducting their own investigation. Florida's investigation into SAFE continues.
ISAC now has a legal team to assist survivors in determining if they have a case. These attorneys volunteer their time. The legal team is also active in purposing new federal legislation to regulate treatment facilities and escort services.
ISAC has secured medical professionals to conduct the first ever scientific study on the effects of abusive treatment methods. This study will take years to complete.
American Family Foundation volunteers to answer ISAC hotline calls. ISAC and American Family Foundation worked hard to make this available for survivors. AFF has certified professionals in the area of surviving abusive treatment.
ISAC has teamed up with cult experts.
ISAC is working with over thirty insurance companies. ISAC is notifying these insurance carriers of insurance fraud on the part of Straight, Inc.
ISAC has a fully functioning Spouse Support group for spouses of survivors. This is the first time ever that spouses of survivors have been able to join together.
The AARC report, written by ISAC Co-Director Shelby E., was published in the Canadian News.
Reports prepared by ISAC ensured that the Drug Free America Foundation (Formerly Straight Inc.) is being investigated by the IRS for Tax Fraud. This is for a ten year period.
ISAC filed a Complaint with The United Nations against Straight, Inc., Betty Sembler and Mel Sembler
ISAC formed a Parents Action Committee. This is the first time in history that the parents and survivors have joined together in this effort.
