Ken,

My research leads me to believe that restraints based around "bent wrist control methods" are used at CALO.  I am appauled at the very least.  There is not a chance I will send my child to CALO based on your restraint policy.  You should put some energy into examining restraint policies.    www.calo.on.nimp.org (don't click on e-mail link)

That is not what you asked. You asked many different questions and you appear to be obfuscating. That gives the impression that you are not who you say you are and that you have an axe to grind. Call me if you wish to have a dialogue.

I did not read 90% of Nicole's e-mail.  That is not what I asked for.  I'm simply looking for yes or no answers.  Do staff at CALO utilize physical restraints based around "bent wrist control methods?"

Bob,

After talking with my Admissions Director, I see that she has given you quite a bit of information. Rather than a VERY long email trying to give you what you need it might be better for you to just give me a call. My contact numbers are below.

I was hoping you could tell me about the types of physical restraint methods (prone, chemical, mechanical, two-person take downs, pressure point holds, basket holds, bent wrist control methods) used at Calo.  My son has been physically restrained in a wilderness program and staff bent his wrists.  A doctor concluded his wrist was broken.  I am worried parent, that's all.

Bob,

What restraints are you hoping for? I am confused by your question.

You mention sending your son to CALO. Do you have a son in the process of enrolling at CALO? I do not micro-manage the admissions process and so I have no eyes on those who are working on enrollment.

Sincerely,

Ken

I am excited about sending my son to Change Academy Lake of the Ozarks.  Would staff at CALO utilize restraints, with my son when necessary, based around bent wrist control methods? What sub variations are there to bent wrist control restraints?  I appreciate your time and help.

Sincerely,

Bob Peterson

Well he may not "micro-manage" the admissions process...but that would be the ONLY aspect of calo's operation he doesn't micro manage...

Nicole you are a lucky woman NOT to have Ken breathing down your neck...
