I am looking for anyone who was at High Peaks in Roosevelt, UT in the Summer of 2000. Trying to track people down is a bitch. Anyone out there let's hear from you.

Have you tried the myspace group for general survivors of Wilderness therapy there is on myspace?

From our datasheet about the program - link to the myspace group.

I dont know whether there also are a facebook or yahoo group for wilderness survivors. High peak is properly too old and too small to have its own group.

I just found this site... I was there during that summer. I got sent home early because I required surgery. Nobody believed me (especially my parents) about all the horror stories I told. To be completely honest I have really tried to forget most of my experiences there... This may sound cliche and lame but I still have nightmares about it. But if anyone else was there, please PM me. I would really like to try and find people I was there with.

There are a lot of good people on this site who have experienced something that are probably fairly similar to your own experiences. I wouldn't be shy about sharing your story about this place. I'm not much in the mood to interview folks anymore, but I've heard the interview process itself can be somewhat cathartic as you are unloading a heap of crap in away that affects the program for the worst.

Would you be up to answering some questions? If you are I'm sure myself and a few other interested souls can find it in ourselves to take the time.
