I love Richard.  That guy has taken the burden of getting sembler, et al to own up to their crimes.  I support you Rich....now that is some dude that I would (and have) donated money to.   Fund Richard's appeal

If his appeal is granted, then the Semblers blew a bunch of money for no return at all.

They already lost the law-suit portion of their case.

blowing money? How much do you think it actually affect$ their bank accounts? hmm, $tack$ of million$ minu$ a couple hundred grand? They could pi$$ out that money all day, no effect what$oever. Even if they went broke, they'd have all the financial $support they could ever need from all the zealots they created and bought.

Yes, but every little bit helps.  Plus, we can hope that their knowledge of the abuses that went on at Straight will be revealed, exposing them for the criminal creeps and scumbags that they are.   To an egomaniac like Sembler, public disdain is worse than any financial loss he could experience.

What does hope get you? Like, not just you as in you personally, you know, lol, but like you as in people in general? Is it like the feeling of well-being folks get when they're in church on Sunday and get that re-charge of confidence for the week? Or is it more like when they're playing craps and think they're going to win big? I guess I'm trying to figure out if it is a futile hope or a genuine something sort of hope that out of it will come results in our favor. Even if Sembler gets this egg all over his face, so to speak, he can pay to have it wiped off. There's so much bullshit he caused and so many of the powerful people in the country and world just let him do it. They don't care about us, never have never will. Where's the hope going? Just keep it in the back of the mind so we don't go completely insane or turn into hellbent revengers? What happens when these program perpetrators are dead? The program will still churn out the drug free robots, we'll keep being pissed off and nothing will ever get resolved? It's like a neverending treasure hunt. One clue always leads to another clue, not the treasure. What is the treasure anyway? Some folks seem to think it's one thing others think it's something else.  :o

The "treasure" for me is knowing that the suit makes them miserable.  I think that is enough for me.

Bradbury's been figthing them for 23 years.

He's going to sue them back, watch and see, don't be surprised if one of the defendants is "Drug Free America", i.e. Straight, Inc., and the Semblers past and present attorneys.

That will keep this on the front page for years to come and the horrors that took place there at Straight, Inc.

I peronally don't expect either side to ever agree to anything and expect Bradbury's coming lawsuit to go all the way to trial.

That would be in about 2012.  No kidding.  This thing is just getting stared.

The longer the story stays out there the better for all us.  Each story mentions in great detail the abuses that took place.

This is exactly what Bradbury wanted.  The longer it lasts, the better.

He's a warrior, he just changed tactic's.

Now he's right where he wants to be in the civil legal system.

Depositions and all.

and I'll keep turning people on to using drugs to "get high".  I'll also keep putting LSD in the coffee pot at various 12 Step group meetings.
