LIFE--Took away 2 years of my "Life"

Hey, new to the site. I posted in a few other areas...thought I would gab a little here.

I was in around '86-'88 I believe. It took me forever to get past that dam 1st phase. Staff members had a hard time believing me with my drug list.

Some of the people I remember were;

Paul Willard--kid was restrained so many times. Practically every fucking day. I'm sorry Paul--we were made to do it.

Susan Corrigan--dated her after 7th stepping

Sean Moore---lived on an island (very cool)
George Woods ---lived with his family for about a year
Anthony and Luis (brothers)
Brian and Scott (brothers)

I agree with everything I've been reading on this site about the abuse and all. The things that went on in there were terrible. I ran away after a few days of being there was brought back by the police. Forced to stay as I was only 16 yrs old at the time. I finally conformed and started going through the phases realizing there is no other way out.

i was there at the same time. I remember your father too. Nice people.
being on staff, i remember many of these incidents and people involved.
i was NOT an adult at the time ( i entered life at 13 yrs old) was so afraid of being started over, never had a consequence.

Being on staff was double, triple the trauma of the program.
I still have bad dreams that I am back on day one, but time heals.

my email is hamptontheaters@yahoo.com living in West Palm Beach now Hope to hear more from others out there. I had a lot of friends going through there---2 years of my life. Be nice to catch up with some of you out there.

Anyone know if they will be doing another reunion like they apparently did in 2004. I just found this site today (Oct 2007) I remember Wendy from staff, Jennifer, Dean, Sammy (he did my intake), Don, Preston,
Mollie, Greg Sampey (my first xmas was spent with him and his family), Melissa, Michelle, Susan, Erica Brown, and others. I can't remember all the names...yet. It will come to me in due time

How about the Residential building in the back of the LIFE program. I spent a lot of time there too. I remember when newcomers would be jumping out the window in the middle of the night, alarms were blasting, everyone running around in their boxers...lord have mercy!!!! LOL
