I'm sitting here reading all of this stuff and it is funny.  Some people are bitchin about how the program was horrible. Some think that it was ok, but not great... from what I can gather.  I spent,  give or take four years in that hole!  Let's be honest!  It sucked (I'm talking about Life (84-90?)  For the people that bitch?  What is the best story that sucked?  I mean there are some people that post the same ole same ole... I could not go to the bathroom or someone watched me shit...  Let's here some gossip?  What was really fucked up / brainwashed shit that you can think of?  or drop some names and make this forum fun like Sun or Enquire or something... oh btw forgive my spelling .. a few brews and some bog hits make me stupid.. later

Susan Crandall.  Need I say more?  She was hell on heels and a bitch to boot.  God, how I hated weekends when I knew she would be there.  I dreaded the sound of her heels clicking on the tile floor.  I never knew if I should motivate hard enough to blend in and risk getting called on or not motivate enough to show that I had basically nothing to talk about and then worry she would call on me just to scream.  I never met another woman in my entire life that was in a state of perpetual PMS.

Of all the people that I met in the two years that I was there, she was the absolute worst.  I always thought she came in to release some pent up anger that she had towards the world.

If you think being on the benches with Susan Crandall around was hard, you should have tried being on staff with that crazy bitch. It was bloody awful. She and her then husband (jeff crandall) Had problems . So she would make ALL the staff stay for theses stupid staff meetings til 1200 or 100am, bitching at us, making people cry, feel bad, generally transferring her anger and frustration from her hell of a marriage to a former staffer using crack (which he was and was caught by an executive staff member smoking on the back porch of LIFe). there were few nice moments with her, and things could go from one extreme to the other.
Jeff sometimes would lead groups when she was around , and was truly a cruel critical bastard.
I heard SUsan Crandall got divorced long ago, remarried and was happy Good for her
I truly wish her well and hope she learned some more compassionate methods to deal with her children and others in this  lifetime. Peace

I remember those heels walking the floors too. I remember that Susan would sometimes lead the boys rap too. Whats up with that? I was wanting to get up and confess about my jerking off issues and now we got a woman in the room, cmon! (just joking) I never liked her raps either. She was brutal! Sometimes Helen would join her and they would tag team during the raps. Oh well....just wanted to add a few notes to this site. I can't believe her husband was caught smoking on the back porch. That's just wrong!
