If you look at the forum, you can see that they started out with 151 cadets July 26 and they were down to 124 on august 6.

http://challengeacademy.org/ubb/ultimat ... 1;t=000082

So they can leave or be kicked off, but I happened to read an article about Eagle Academy in Florida.

The parents maintain the right to taunt. In the article about Eagle Academy a drill sergeant phoned the mother of a female cadet when she was crying and wanted to quit. The mother was icecold in the other end and called her an easy quitter, so the poor girl continued in the program. I don't know how the parents are educated in this program, but down in Florida all parents are order to meet one evening each week so they can be taught how to resist the pleas from their children.

But if the cadet want to change his or her life, it seems to be a better program than most of the program, I have on Secret Prisons for teens. It is 22 weeks in the camp - not more - not less.

Because most of the money comes from the tax-payers, it is voluntary, so they have no interest in keeping them if the cadets want to quit. If you look at the testimonial page, even the cadets leaving before time had gained something. That is not something you can see in other programs.[/i]

Don't trust testimonial pages....This program scares me because obviously it has that boot camp mentality, i.e. stupid and abusive. The fact that it's voluntary may not be that much of a plus, we all know that programs have other ways of keeping kids in program(threats of jail, being kicked to the streets, intense family pressure, fear of being sent to a possibly worse program). State programs can be just as bad as private programs. In one case you're looking for profits and in the other selling the tough love ideology, of course both can exist at the same time. The fact that the program teaches parents how to resist pleas from "students" only adds to my suspicion that this is yet another abusive state run boot camp.

Ever considered trolling a D.I.?

Their only response is screaming, eyes bugging out and threats. Being FREE WHITE AND OVER 21 If he touched me I'd have his ass legally.

Hey, Psy, about that road trip? I could rage the nuts off a brass monkey
