haha no not really, it's probably because afghanistan is sometimes the first country listed in drop-down menus when you select your location. she just wasnt paying enough attention.

It makes sense.  I've put "Afghanistan" in loads of online registration forms for the same reason (it's the first one on the list).  Similarly, Accounting is probably the first choice of occupation.
