  Oh my god you will never give it a rest will you? Go ahead and yell at me. I brought up my issues knowing I needed help with them. EVERYONE has got issues. I obviously wasn't handling them well. In the end it personally helped me. No I will never realize what was happening to me. Why? Because I know what happened. After 3.5 years it hasn't worn off 'cause there's nothing to wear off. Please they didn't do hypmotism on us. But whatever. I do know that it helped me get a shitload off of my chest. Call it bullshit. I'm not here to change your mind.
Seriously I can't say anything without you twisting the words up. No one told me I was wrong for thinking the way I did. Please. My issues were not ones to take lightly. I needed them off of my chest and took the oppurtunity to start working on relieving the pain I had from them.
And the whole bit of us being used to disclosing our fears, issues and such is not bullshit. How the hell would you know? Were you there? No! So stop. That is the truth. We were used to being honest. Was it bad? You think so. I don't. In the end I found out that there were others there who had a one time felt the way I did. That gave me comfort. Also, I have no problem speaking my mind nowadays. I do so so I don't revert to being the same person I once was. If a person is doing something I don't appreciate to me I will speak up.

Well, just because I don't communicate with someone on a daily basis doesn't mean I haven't had any contact with them. I ran across a couple of the kids that weren't on the up and up. Others I heard about from my friends.
It's been 3.5 years since I've been out. When I say in touch I'm talking about the ones I regularly talk to and visit. The rest I don't. When graduating we are not to exchange residing information. The 5 that didn't graduated: 2 chose there exit plan (they turned 18). 1 Her family ran out of money and couldn't keep her there. 2 Were pulled.

Why do you think they have that policy? It's pretty standard for the industry, btw.

Here you've spent an average of 2 years with a group of peers, doing all the 'emotional growth' work, divulging your deepest secrets and pain, apparently building close relationships, and you're not allowed to get their contact information when you leave. That has never made sense to me.

They don't encourage getting together for about a year or so. This is to prevent us from bringing each other down. They want us to succeed and stand on our own. Once we are stable we are ok to meet up with each other. They say we shouldn't but most do anyway. That was the answer I got when I asked why.

FYI, a parent can speak with their child or see their child at anytime they want.  They probably choose not to because they don't want to put up with the manipulation, dealing, threats, whatever the child would put out when they did.
I actually was a staff when Perrigaud was there.  She was nothing but real, so I have no doubt that it worked for her.  Let me guess, you didn't graduate were never a student or slid your way through?

There it is again.  All critics of the program are just disgruntled kids who didn't really "work" the program. :roll:  :roll:  Hope you just watched Montel.  They were talking about how that is exactly how these places get away with the abuse they dish out.  They're all just manipulating liars.  :roll:  Get a new line.  That one's getting pretty thin.

Bullshit. A parent can only talk to their child when the child reaches level 3, and the conversation must be monitored by the staff. A parent may only come to visit when a child reaches level 4 and the parent completes the parents' seminar.

Any attempt on the parents' part to do otherwise leads to intense manipulation and intidation from WWASP, because the parents dared breaking WWASP's holy rules, and disturb WWASP's attempt to establish itself as the main authority in the family.

Torment? How were you tormented Nihilanthic?  By not being able to watch TV, by not having access to drugs, by having to do some chores, by having some structure in your life, by having therapy?  Sounds like torment to me.  Why are you so ticked about the program?

I can't speak for Niles, but I'm guessing he's ticked off for the same reason I am: Because the program is abusive, dangerous, and damaging.

No, I wasn't on the show.  I was in an abusive rehab as a teen.  I now have two teenagers (who have never been to a program).  I can speak to BOTH sides.

Have you read the enrollment?  You are so quick to say things you really don't know the facts on.  Parents do not sign over there rights and yes indeed can see or speak w/ there child at anytime.  with out any incentives what would make a child want to move?  You know what before I do on further, I don't have time to waste with your comments that has no substance behind it besides negativism.

No, they're not negative.  They're very positive about parents taking responsibility for their own kids instead of shipping them off to strangers to be re-programmed into good little Stepfor kids so they'll be a good reflection on their parents.
