Remember when Patti Hearst was kidknapped and then she ended up robbing banks with her captors. Elan was like that in some aspects.

Then why are you still here?  Obviously it effected different people different ways but because it's "over" for you it should be "over" for everyone else too?  How selfish and arrogant.

Who said that troll boy? If you were a little more "well read" here in this forum, you would see that I nhave posted a number of times that I understand how difficult this could/would be for the more recent "resident". I have total empathy for those in pain.Obviously all you know of me is what you read here, which makes you opinion...........................

That doesn't answer the question as to why you're still here.  If it's over for you, move on.

I'm not Dave.  I don't know Dave.  I didn't go to Elan.  I'm not a man and I'm much older than Dave is.  Get over it.

Wake up fool.
Just because Art claims its over for him doesnt mean he should have nothing to say about it.

Why does everything have to be a big controversial debate or argument here? The nature of people who communicate in the real world is to at least be polite and respectful towards each other even when they disagree because in the real world, if youre not, you get run out of any discussion unless its in a freakin trailer park.

You seem to follow the popular trend here of drawing conclusions without much consideration for all the things you DONT know, rather than the facts as they are presented.
Though the example you provide is the far end of the spectrum here with all the fiction, the guessing games about who posts what, and the outright vulgar stupid comments...Cancer is cancer and you have to cut all of it out for it to go away.

You should go away, and ask yourself what you expect to accomplish here.
Are you here to keep Art or anyone else in compliance with your own policies? Do you think youre going to find your own resolve to your issues with Elan in a crowd of morons and people who have NOT "gotten over it"?

I dont participate in the discussion here. It is pointless. Im not sure why I chose this post to start and I honestly dont expect anything to change but heres a thought:
All the little stupid things that most of the people here have to say are becoming the norm.
Its not too far fetched to think that a realistic truthful post now and then is just as much of a shock to all the stupid fucking trolls here as the shit they post is to the rest of us sane civil people who follow a simple concept of being respectful, honest and offer a little decency to a discussion....or elect to say nothing at all.

So you think Art should go away...

How selfish and arrogant of you.

I've been reading Art's drivel for a few years now.   I'm well aware of his communication skill, or lack thereof.

And I guess you haven't bothered to read my posts throughly.  I didn't go to Elan.

Oh , and I will say this before the simple minded trolls come in and accuse me of defending or supporting Arts point of view.
I dont.
Art needs to shut the hell up too instead of responding to every fucking anon post directed at him with even more trailer park intellectual dialog.

Fornits could be a constructive place to discuss and disect the Elan experience.
At this point I think that is impossible.
Does anyone disagree?

Art, Ill assume your intentions are good, but the question is, even if you could wave your magic wand and turn this pile of shit into a slice of lemon cake....would you eat it?

Not me.

Does the post have a point, other than to prove you missed the point of mine?

First of all, I dont see anywhere in the above quote where you state you didnt go to Elan do you?

So theres a post a few back that says it....are we all supposed to guess that was you?

Second. What difference does it make what Art has had to say in the past...Ive read it too. You suggest Art shouldnt be here because he's gotten over the effects of Elan.
That makes no sense considering that he may have something to offer people who havnt. Sure, I kinda doubt it too...But as you say, you DIDNT go to Elan...So who the fuck are YOU to suggest someone who did leave the discussion.

Again, selfish and arrogant.

Deal with it.

No, I suggest Art leave because he hates most people here.  He says he's over Elan, he doesn't really like anyone here and IMO doesn't really contribute much so I was asking why he was still here.  I didn't say Go Away Art, although others have.

If you couldn't figure out that you were talking to the same anon then I can't help you.  I didn't have a problem picking yours out.

This was the first post in this thread.

I know...it sounds like a lot of bullshit, and I don't want to admit it, but despite the emotional abuse, the verbal assaults and the humiliation Elan provided me with the tools to evaluate my behavior and weigh the cause and effect of my decisions.  It hasn't always worked, but for the most part I'm still alive and I'm not locked under a prison for the rest of my life. I hold no animosity towards Elan, the sadistic staff (there were some good staff members) and I'm over the injustice,  anger and resentment that I held for so long.

Art responded with this.

Quote
Exactly the point I have tried to make a number of times.
The little boys just need some attention
Its not about Elan anymore. Not for years.Still I understand a person in pain, and its obvious some of the posters here are injured.Get some help before you kill someone, yourself,or act out the distgusting fantasies you post about here.
Hate makes you the weak little fag you are seen as!

If he's truly interested in just carrying on a discussion why does he have to bring up the "little boys" and tell them to kill themselves?

Again, I didn't tell Art to go away, I simply asked why he was still here.

Plz show us all where Art told anyone to kill themselves. I know I shouldnt respond to this troll, but really.Get over yourself ! Try posting, acting positive.Ya know, like you are actually not as miserable as the things you post. You want to make everything trivial into something monumental.what is your purpose? can you not excuse someone else' opinion and find truth in whats written,no matter how its written or by whom?
rhetorical...

If you differentiated yourself from the other "guests" somehow you might get a civil response from Art. He has been attacked by so many "guests" that he responds defensively automatically.

Did you see the first two posts in this thread?  Art's response to the initial post is what I'm talking about.

Believe me Art, we can tell the difference between you and your imposters.
