I can't believe the rest of you didn't pick up on this one:
I believe pain and suffering can be a natural process of getting thru the teen years for most kids.
Just sit there for a bit and consider the ramifications of this.

Don't reply. Just let this thread die here. This sentence says more to sane parents than anything we possibly could.
You should read more. The natural process of moving through the teenage years is
very painful as they grow socially, emotionally, feeling awkward, dealing with acne, physical growth, trying to find their place, wanting to be an adult?.. and it goes on. Its not the best time for most kids.
Yours may have been different (not all are the same). If you were, say, captain of the football team you may have peaked out early and look back on those years as the best. But believe me most don?t, they are very painful times for most.
