I have never advocated censoring or monitoring of calls.  I do not think all programs are good.  If a staff member abused a child I don’t conclude that all staff members are abusers and I don’t necessarily feel the program is abusive because of the actions of an employee.

For your own benefit you should go back and clarify it in your own mind.  I have never advocated censorship or monitoring of phone calls.  There were discussions about my experience at ASR where my daughter was allowed to call me and her calls were unmonitored.  We talked about how she was not allowed to call anyone outside the family or make and receive calls from friends.  This is where you may have gotten confused.
I understood and agreed with the policy that kids should not be allowed to receive letters or packages from all friends unless they were screened first for contraband.  The people that the child contacts should also be controlled.

Again......not all of us base our value as a person on whether or not we graduated from an ivy league school. But that does seem to be very important to a lot of program parents. The kids aren't growing up how the parents would like them to and instead of respecting that the child is an individual, with thoughts and values of their own.....they ship them off for "re-education".

Well it seems we are closing the gap little by little.  I agree with you that kids should not be sent away to change from one healthy life style to another healthy life style just because the parents feel the kid needs a change.  This is another area which would benefit from an independent third party from signing off on all placements.

I would have never said that.  Do a search using the key words..Manipulate....conversation.. Deteriorate... censoring etc. If you like and see what you come up with. All my (our) conversations are in the history file for everyone to view.   I guarantee I never advocated censoring the kids calls so they cant say inappropriate things or manipulation.

I was agreeing with you!  There was no condescending tone to it.  Go back and read it again.   I believe your concern could be solved or avoided by having a third party sign off on the placement.  That eliminates any parent from just sending any kid to a program for any reason they like.

Alright alright. I'm done with these shenanigans. Obviously I was just trying to blatantly point out the process this Who guy is going through to keep people coming back. My opinion is that people give this guy too much credit here. I'm sure most have come to the conclusion he/she is profiting off of it, but I suspect there is a more personal reason he/she is here. Like you said, Who gets a kick out of it. But it would not surprise me if Who is really just a lonely person who enjoys getting the attention even if it is negative rather than not getting any at all. I was upfront about the fact that i was just playing his game, however Who would never admit that and it may be possible he doesn't even know he's doing it. As long as he's been going on like this it is likely he has developed a pathology for his ways and doesn't even know that he is lying. I do believe there is some value for those who are trying to hone their debate skills over programs, but I see alot of people getting more and more angry talking with him. He doesn't deserve anger, he deserves pity.
