A tip for all the young people out there
« on: June 18, 2006, 01:37:00 AM »
If things are going really badly at home and you suspect your family are going to have you shipped off to god knows where. If you are brave:
1 GET YOURSELF SOME HANDCUFFS
2 KEEP THEM SOMEWHERE SAFE, ACEESSABLE AND HIDDEN
3 WHEN THE ESCORTS ARRIVE CHAIN YOURSELF TO THE BED AND SWALLOW THE KEY
4 HAVE A CELL PHONE ON YOU SO YOU CAN TRY TO CALL THE COPS BEFORE THEY TAKE YOU.

It will buy you some time. Be prepared for all hell to break loose in the short term. If it is possible talk to a trusted adult who is in your corner about your suspicions before the incident. Id wager youll need someone to run to who can mediate on your behalf and try to calm things @ home

Or you can keep a large hunting knife..and when the escorts come, handcuff them to the bed and get down to business
Do what you gotta do, I always say.

Or you could just leave, crash out with a friend for awhile, and negotiate with your family on the phone. Probably save you a whole lot of drama and some gnarly indigestion. Just a thought.

Do NOT negotiate with a program parent, they have already agreed to have you transported incommunicado by a child molesting kidnapper in secret, they are willing to LIE to you.
If your parent has hired a kidnapper to come get you or is looking into a program ITS TIME TO LEAVE NOW.

Yea, great idea, don't try to work things out with them. Go hide out with friends, I'm sure they won't get tired of you crashing on their floor eventually, I mean, I know I don't value my privacy at all either. I'd love to have some homeless kid crashing out at my place, eating all my food, trying to nail my sister every night.

But seriously, I think this is a pretty tough topic to tackle, certainly not black and white at all. I mean, if you catch wind that the escorts are coming, or manage to escape, what courses of action do you honestly have at your disposal? I'll support what you say about being lied to. My friend had the escorts come for him, but they made the mistake of letting him change in his bathroom unsupervised...he jumped right out the window and bolted, crashed with a friend for a couple days, "negotiated" over the phone, went home, and ended up right in CEDU's hands.

So I guess you can't negotiate, that apparently never works. But then what do you do? Can't go back to your normal high school, they'll be waiting for you there. Guess you could go get a head start on your life of waiting tables or pumping gas, but of course you'll have to get paid under the table because if you land a real job, they'll find you and send you away. Or you could get busy slanging drugs...oh man, what a glorious life that is. You might actually be successful at that for awhile, until you start thinking a little too big and end up doing a little state time.

Honestly, I'll challenge anyone to give me a good course of action to take if you know the escorts are coming/managed to escape from the escorts. Keeping in mind that we're talking about 14/15 year old kids (and assuming that negotiating with the parents is not an option, hell if you can work it out so you won't get sent away, go for it!!). I hate CEDU and those bullshit programs as much as the next guy, but I also can't imagine a life in this country without a high school diploma if you're a person with ambitions. you run away and go fucking work. find someone willing to employ you under the table for cash, tell them your parents abuse you and you do not want to be found. this is NOT THAT hard to do like that one windbag said up there earlier. as if running away is fucking rocket science... if there are escorts coming, either take it up the ass and stay home or leave and start a new life.. yes some people actually pull it off!

Well, sounds like you have it all figured out. They can go clean toilets under the table for the rest of their life. Or have some gay sugar daddy "benefactor" in another state (that they probably met online). Fuck, what was I thinking, I should've done that. Instead of being in law school right now I could be working under the table at a pet supply store or something. [ This Message was edited by: dniceo7 on 2006-06-19 08:24 ]

I never said it couldn't be done, I just said I could never be content with such a shitty life. But apparently you could, so enjoy.

I didn't come looking for a fight, all I wanted to do was point out that it's not so black and white. [ This Message was edited by: dniceo7 on 2006-06-19 08:27 ]

Obviously. Hey man, if you're content living that life, then fuck, more power to you! Run!! Go enjoy life!!

But I'm saying that any life where you don't live up to your potential is a waste. Don't be sorry for me, I'm perfectly content with the path I chose. Whatever, it's pointless arguing, we obviously don't  place the same values on education. [ This Message was edited by: dniceo7 on 2006-06-19 08:31 ]

you think the kids who end up on the street want to be there... these are kids who are abused, physically, sexally and in other ways or maybe they are about to be kidnapped or whatever this thread is about. they have no other option to leave home... unless like i said they literally want to take it up the ass. you naivety shows... be glad you never ended up in that situation, because there are hundreds of thousands of kids sleeping on the street tonight and they didnt choose it they are just choosing the better option of two shitty ass options. but whatever dude... your reality seems more fun anyways!
