Uhhm, all the pretty girls in his collection of adult magazines?
A duramax huh?
We shall call him: "duramullet"
So Mr Duramullet, Hows it feel to own a brand new truck payment?
Also, how does it feel to spend $100 dollars every time you visit the pump? The silverado 2500 HD duramax gets an immmmpressive 19 miles per gallon!
So, if one gallon takes you 19 miles, and the average monthly miles put on domestic vehicles is about a conservative 1500?
Looks like Duramullet will need 78 gallons of fuel per month at an average cost of $3.25 a gal for deisel.
Which brings his monthly fuel bill to aproximately $234.00
Add that to the truck payment, which I would guess to be in the neighborhood of $550, and full coverage comprehensive insurance an additional $150 monthly for a grand total of $930.00 dollars per month to own the All american duh-ramax Chevrolet penis extention.
If you invested $930 dollars per month in a moderate yeild IRA. You be a millionairess in lessen 20 years.
Congrats on your Brrrrrand neeeeewww truck Mr Duramullet!
I'm so jealeth!
Well, not really.
So lets take a vote shall we?
Have a truck you wont own for 6 years when its value will depreciated to about %10 of what you actually paid for it?
Or be a millionaire in 20 years?

First of all you got the fuel econmy all wrong there Jim Bob, its averages out to be 13.4 according to the onboard computer, and who cares what I paid for it, its a write off. I pull heavy equipment and need a powerful vehicle to pull it. And yes I did take lots of pics, and would be more then happy to share them with you once I upload them and resize them. By the way my payment is less then your way off figures, but I couldnt expect more from a person like you Jim Bob, or can I?
In my opinion, chevy is the BEST!, Who dare to compare and take their vehicle up against a Chevy? Chevy is a power house, plain and simple. And my truck stock is so fast, It will take practically anything on the road off the line in power. With the 4:10 gear ratio, this thing can MOVE! Yesterday I pulled an 8700 pd Kabota up a mountain in idle speed, IDLE SPEED Jim Bob, can your Tibby do that :

As Chevy simple so smartly puts it. All hail the king of power and torque! Also picked up a used truck, an 03 with a 6.0 liter, only 21,000, gave me a great deal on that too. That truck has the Vette engine in it, and not only is that truck fast and powerful, but for a 350, it gets pretty great fuel ecocnomy compared to the last old Ford truck I owned that it is replacing. I guess they are suppose to average out somewhere in the 11-14 miles to gallon ratio, my older truck was getting far less. Probably because it was old and alot of miles were on it, i'd say it probably got maybe 6 to the gallon the way it was performing? I dont know, but what I do know is I am very happy with my 2 new trucks, and hope they dont get abused by my employees, at least the 03, the 06 is mine to use.
Been hearing horror stories of the new Ford diesels (06) Head gaskets been blowing, that aint good and turned me off to Fords Trucks. Always bought Ford trucks, had a chevy truck long ago back in the 80's, but it had no where near the power it has now. Everything about Chevy is superior to Ford or dodge. Chevy's have bigger stronger tranmissions, more hp and torque, faster exceleration. Chevy always one up Ford and Dodge, but after being in a Ford for all this time then trying out a Chevy, its the difference between night and day.
Also, all the Chevy trucks stock radios display the name of the artist and song on the radio, and this is a regular radio I am talking about, not XM. Personally, I really wasnt that big of a fan of the Chevy truck looks, I thought they are the ugliest of the big 3. Ford has the best looks for a truck, but after owing my 2 new work horses for this little time, I have grown to a liking of their looks. My acccountant advised me that I should buy at least 2 new trucks this year, it should save me a shit load of $$$$$$ come tax time next year. With Chevys incentives, and rebates I got a very good sweet deal on the LT version of the Duramax. They wanted $43,000 and change, I got it down to $35,550, that aint bad knowing that the duramax engine with the alison transmission is a $8500.00 option Also this thing is loaded with leather and has the luxury package. Heated seats, 8 way power seats, ect, ect. New leather in a new truck is about the finest smell in the world, except maybe for pussy. (1979 Christine movie humor).
So Jim Bob, go ahead and make fun of my new trucks, but keep in mind, my Durmax could pull your house with ease.
The dealer had another 03 for sale there with the 8.0 liter, which is a 490 cubic inch engine, big block they call it. Truck looked real nice, had all the extras on it, stainless steal step bars, tonnoue ( I think I mispelled that wrong) cover, intake vents on the hood, but they were cosmetic. Truck smelled so bad from the prior owner, who was a heavy heavy smoker, also the seats were stained with lots of smoke from him smoking. But god damnb, that thing had some serious power, but I made the right choice and went with the 6.0, I can only imagine how bad the 8.0 got on mileage. Oh and you are wrong about diesel prices, they are $2.87 here, 2 cents cheaper then regular.
