I'd really like to hear their cover of "Wicked Little Town (Hedwig Version)" from the Wig in a Box tribute album. However, I loathe tribute albums, so I have no interest in purchasing it, but I would like to hear that song.


Tonight, I'm listening to some Man or Astroman, New York Dolls, The Mono Men, and Whale. Remember Whale? Hobo Humpin' Slobo Babe. (baby we don't love ya baby we don't love ya baby yeah)

Whale has the best song title ever from any album in the known universe. It's on their debut, "We Care", and it's called "Young, Dumb n' Full of Cum." Pretty nifty little ditty.

I have one: Kiss My Ass, on red vinyl. I think that was the album that made me decide I hated tribute albums.

This is probably the third album (yes vinyl) that I ever purchased. It came out in '73 and I was 12. I was playing it on my portable record player (GE Wildcat) when my Dad walked in.

Dad: Are you sure that is at the right speed?

Me: I think so. It sounds okay to me.

Dad looks over the speed settings (33, 45, 78) and sees it is at 33.

Dad: Okay, I guess if you like it...

He leaves my room.

That's funny; I can see how someone might wonder with Led Zeppelin, especially given some of Plant's caterwauling on that album! :D

I actually had an album accidentally set on 45 one time instead of 33 for the first ever LP I got of the Mono Men. (Bent Pages.) I didn't clue in until the first listen through. Yeah, I know, I'm an idiot.
