An Ennio Morricone compilation, and a bunch of really obscure reggae comps, good shit "If you keep burning the ganja, we're gonna burn down the sugar cane" (that's from "Police In Helicopters", good song  by some one hit reggae dude whose other songs are bad covers of 70s American pop songs)Very weed-oriented, stuff, nearly ALL the songs advocate WEED smoking, and there's some militant Rasta stuff on there, too, it's a good reggae comp, before all the cocaine fueled dancehall shit took over.

You ever hear that Lee 'Scratch' Perry album I posted up there? It's more current and very, very 'out there'.. I found it at the public library.

No I haven't, I'll see if I can find it.

Checked out lots of Aussie rock on youtube, there was more than I expected.  Radio Birdman--"Aloha Steve and Dano", "New Race", "Descent Into The Maelstrom",  "Search And Destroy" (Stooges cover), "Murder City Nights"; The Saints--"Perfect Day" and a few others I didn't get the name of; AC/DC--"If You Want Blood You've Got It", "Jailbreak" (Angus Young looks about 13 years old in that one), "Sin City", TNT", "Whole Lotta Rosie"; Rose Tatto--"Rock & Roll Outlaw" and a couple of other songs/bands I forget the names of.  Cool stuff.  Also watched Guided By Voices do a couple of songs.

Jesus& Mary Chain--"Some Candy Talking", "Blues From A Gun", "Sidewalkin'", "You Trip Me Up",  "Dig", "Bo Diddley Is Jesus", "I Love Rock and Roll" (their song, not the one of the same name by Joan Jett)

Miles Davis--"Pharoah'S Dance"

I thought this was a particularly nice grouping, seemlessly meshed together, each flowing nicely into the other.

It's cool when that happens; good 'DJing' is an art.

Stevie Wonder:

From the album Talking Book:

"Big Brother"(This is a bad-ass, righteous tune featuring a lead harmonica and a hand drum rhythym section about life in the ghetto and the oppressiveness of the government and the way it manipulates and lies to its citizens.  The last line of the song is: "You've killed all our leaders...I don't even have to do nothin' to you...You'll cause your own country to fall".  Beautiful man...beautiful...)

"Blame it on the Sun"(This song makes me think that Christina Aguilara(SP??) must'a' grown up listening to Stevie Wonder records.  If you listen to this song his influence on her will be obvious to you.  Especially if you listen to "Blame It On the Sun" and then play that "We are Beautiful" song of hers, wchich I like a lot too, mainly because of the way she can sing.)

"You Are the Sunshine of My Life"(such a nice song)

Rock on survivors.  You rule!!!! : :skull: ::rocker::  ::hatter::

I like a lot of Stevie Wonder's songs...aside from just the mainstream hits. I'm not sure if I've heard those songs or not though.
