i almost can't believe what i am reading about this place. forcing vegetarians to eat meat? only allowing baptist religious views to be expressed? shoving soap down a girl's throat? rape?
reading posts on fornits is like pressing on my incoming wisdom tooth - it is painful and awful, but i cannot seem to stop doing it.
how can these disgusting hypocrites look at themselves every day? they are the opposite of "christian." i am sure that these people are too ignorant to have read dante, but they are the betrayers of trust who would be in the ninth circle of hell in his inferno. i can't even express how sickened i am and how sorry i feel for anyone that was subjected to such treatment.
i know that many other programs are equally horrible and i express my sympathies to victims of these programs as well.
i am not sure what i can do about all of this, but i have a good friend who is going for his MSW and doc. of psych. at FSU. i was talking to him about TBSs and he was appalled at what i was telling him but had never heard of any of the programs mentioned here. i am wondering if we could compile information on abusive florida programs and hopefully raise awareness about these places in the therapeutic community - hopefully mental health pros can warn parents against sending their children to such places. also, i think that if mental health pros publicly condemned such places and made some noise, their opinions would be given more weight than those of laypersons. i am not really sure what else to do, so if anyone else has any ideas, please let me know via PM (also let me know if you want to help gather and distribute such info).
